First of all, sorry because many of you are getting private messages from me that are a reply intended to another user.
Every time I click reply to one of my private messages, it changes the name of the user to someone else.

At first, I didn't bother checking because it wasn't happening much at all. Now, it's happening every time I click reply or if I click Send User a PM, it populates another user on the Send to field.

It had not happen in a while but, now it's a daily thing. Last few days, I've been replying to a lot of messages so I didn't double check. I just went to my sent folder and I've messaged eight different unintended users.

So, I've been double checking today but, just now it did it again but, before I sent it I updated it, but, when I went to the sent folder it went to someone else completely different. The usernames are in no way even similar and I've never PM'd those users before.

Not sure what could be causing this. Any suggestions?

Someone else had this problem in the past.

I believe clearing your cookies is the solution to this.

Right now, I'm experiencing a similar problem, just that all my PMs seem to redirect to the system user account Vizzed.

Not sure if it's related, but still worth of mention. My problem seems more like the PM system going down, probably to be revamped and adapted to the new code, but David said nothing about it and that's what gets me wondering.

I'm getting something similar to Palen, since I have about 200 unread PM's right now I decided to actually read some so I could test this out, and every single one was made out to Vizzed.

I think it's possible David or an Admin knows about this already and changed it so it goes to Vizzed while fixing it instead of random people.

This has happened several times to me, only it keeps sending to John. I don't even know who John is lol

m0ssb3rg935 : Lol mine keeps changing to Mike. my ex was named Mike I don't want to write Mike lol. I clear cookies and use an incognito browser actually 3 different browsers and my phone. so not sure what is causing that.

It's odd, I cleared my cookies and everything but now it's worse, now no name at all pops up when I try to reply to a message.

I have sent 3 pms to mike now and I am now hoping he never gets on and sees them. Just type in the name of the person you want to send it to and clear your cookies. A little extra typing but problem solved.

I'm in my phone right now and tested it out again and it seems to be working, but then again it might only be because of my phone who knows, but it's filling in correctly for me here.

zanderlex : Same for me, I cleared cookies today again and have not had any problems. Though that Mike guy got a handful of some odd conversations ... I see one of the other users read the conversation lol. Sorry if you ever read this XD

jlove92 : well, when I tried clearing cookies on my laptop it only made things worse, it made it so the name doesn't get filled in at all so I'd have to manually put in the name with each reply. Hopefully that fixed for me too.


However I cleared my cookies not for this, there was another problem going on elsewherw on the site.

I had a similar problem this summer lol, only it went to Cid. It's funny how it goes to a different user for everyone.

It looks like the issue is solved for me as of now. I was able to reply to a PM normally, and now whenever I try to PM someone the user isn't picked at random anymore.

I did absolutely nothing but wait, so it indeed looks like someone was messing around with the PMs for a day or two. Not sure, who, not sure why, but things are fine now and let's hope they stay like this.

EX Palen I think you're right. One of the Vizzed Wizzards was having fun and seems all is back to normal, also my double posting comments stopped too. Seems all is normal in the land of Vizzed.... we shall see paisano.

When I got home last night, it still wasn't fixed for me on my laptop, just on my phone, however on my laptop it started working again as of about an hour ago, so hopefully it should be working again for nearly everybody by now.
