Ah the flip phones,

The first phone I had was the Motorola Razr, one of the best of the time. It was a flip phone, yes, but it was a good one. I still have it today and sometimes turn it on and look at it. It was easy to use and had fun games on it.

I'm asking if they should come back with a full Android Operating system, as I personally like phones with physical buttons as they are easier to type on. I have upgraded to a smartphone since then, but should they make a return?

I would love a flip phone if the design worked well enough. I know the screens would be much better off when they are folded, instead of just being out in the open waiting to be dropped and cracked. Especially for the bigger phones, being able to make it smaller would be a huge help, and maybe two screens as well.

Hm… I think that if they make newer phones with physical buttons again, then those new buttons should at least be able to perform more functions than what the old flip phones were capable of doing. I did like the fact that flip phones prevented accidental random dialing, but I always thought it would have been nice if they had been less bulky overall in terms of design and had touchscreens.

Flip phones were nice and they were pretty solid (compared to today's touch screens). Do I think they should come back? No. Why? Unless you can make a flip phone as fluid as a touch screen,it would never work. I would maybe suggest a flip open cover for a touch screen to protect it when not in use.

I guess if you want a flip phone for the aesthetic or the fashion factor you should be able to do that, but the main factor is that the flip feature gives no advantage and really just makes it more or less a toy in a way.

I do not think flip phones should make a comeback, and if they did, they would probably fail on epic proportions. Everyone has gotten so used to touch screen technology and the like, that it wouldn't make sense to go backwards and take away that touch screen compatibility.

I remember those types of phones....I'm not sure if I want them to come back anyways. They had their time in the past of how most people loved those phones. If they do come back I am sure it will be made really differently.
