So one of my favorite things about the FF franchise is how well they do the music in some regards, in this thread I'm gonna be talking about the various town themes and why some of these are my personal favorite.

Number 1: FF8 Fisherman's Horizon, it's a sad catchy and quite relaxing town theme as If I'm visiting someone's past and having a pleasant memory all at the same time.

Number 2: FF7, ahead on our way,   Again another great relaxing town theme quite peaceful and hopeful,  I think this one ranks above FF6 because you know the rest of FF7 is quite dark, but this theme right here differates everything IMO.

Number 3: FF6, Kids run through the town.  This is another favorite of mine,  Because it just gives me that urges of hope and it's quite a nice town theme as well.

Number 4: FFX Besaid  island theme(Original Version not Remaster)   It's quite catchy and sounds good overall,  and it fits really well in where it's used in the FFX storyline.
The remastered version isn't bad, but I hate how the HD remastered version completely slowed down the feel of this theme.

So what's your favorite town themes, and why do you like them? Let me know down below.

SuperCrash64 : Lol I didn't know you were going to put in besaid! I like the list you have there here is mine

FFX Besaid of course its so calm and collected. I love the theme a lot there are times that, I purposely stop sometimes in the game just to listen to the music because of how beautiful it is. This one is from the original on the ps2 not the HD version.

Final Fantasy 7 Cosmo Canyon, another great music here I love it so much.

Final Fantasy 9 Treno, the music is so really cool to here because of how the tune is played.

These are mine I am sure there are others, but I can only remember the 3 listed ones off from my head.

Not a lot of places have made me stop in my tracks to admire the soundtrack. There is, however, one that stood out more than the others.

Anxious Heart, Final Fantasy VII. It mostly played in Nibelheim, and just feels eerie but peaceful at the same time. I guess it's because you're put on the edge, waiting for the imminent danger to come, while being relaxed at how surprisingly simple and calm things are in the town.

The Crisis Core remix was alright, but I hope they seriously nail it in the FF7 remake.
