Well guys, I'm finally taken my GED test! This isn't exactly earth-shattering news, but I just wanted to let all my friends know and seeing as the Chat-room has been removed for the time being, this is the best way.

I just took the first of the three tests I have to take this morning. I haven't gotten my score yet, but I'm pretty sure I did a good job.
Just two more tests to go and I'm finished with school for good! (now I just have to figure out what I'm going to do afterwards)

Congratulations man! I am sure that you'll do well (assuming you adequately prepared for it). Just curious though, I thought the GED test consisted of four subject tests, one for mathematics, science, social studies, and language reasoning test. I could be wrong, but I remember reading somewhere that it consisted of four tests in total. With that in mind, I'm sure the GED must take several hours to complete. 

Nonetheless, I wish you the best on your remaining tests, and I'm sure you'll get good scores back for all of them. Do be sure to let everyone know how it goes! Do you have a vague idea of an area of interest/field you might like to pursue later on?

So, just out of curiosity, did you take the test to graduate early, or for some other reason? I only ask because 17 seems like a pretty young age to be taking the GED, at least from what I've heard / understand about it.

Having the certificate / diploma in today's world holds more value than most of what you're actually taught in school, so I'm sure this will greatly benefit you later in life. Just don't take too long figuring out what you want to do, or you'll end up a 25 year old burn out with no direction or purpose ( like some one I know XD ). That said, don't rush it either, especially if you need to invest a lot of time or money in to accomplishing said goal.

I had considered taking a GED test when I was like, 14, but I was pretty dim back then so I think it was a good idea to decide against it.

As for you, congrats because a GED can land you a LOT of opportunities in this world. If you're considering going into indie game development, what sort of station are you going for? Artist or programmer or what exactly? Since doing all of them is a difficult task and whatnot.

I just got my scores back for the first test and I got a total score of 79/100
Not too shabby I'd say.

Out of 26 skills divided between 4 subjects, I did below average on 4 (mostly fractions), average on 3 and a + which my dad says means "mastery" but I'm not exactly sure that's completely accurate, on 19 of them.

So, I'd say I did a pretty good job, all thing considered. Since I got such a high score I don't have to pay for the next practice test, which I'll be taking on the 28th. After that, It's on to the final test and then I'm finished with the GED tests for good. I'm doing pretty well so far, wish me luck!

I'm taking my SAT's sometime next year (I would take them earlier, but I want to take the PSAT first[I'll probably take it multiple times] and I have to wait until 8th grade to do that [I'm in 7th grade]) All I can say is to study, study, study and don't stress out about it (I should take my own advice). I wish you all the luck in the world. I advise you to go to college after you ace that GED ( Because I know you will ).
