Following a more in depth showing of the Microsoft exclusive Recore at E3 many weren't too impressed with what they saw. Seeming quite troublesome consider this has been hailed as one of the more standout Xbox One exclusives. However its been revealed that the game will launch at a reduced price compared to most AAA titles. In stead of 60 dollars the game will cost 40 dollars at launch.

When asked about the reason Microsoft Aaron Greenberg explains that they wanted to increase it's chance of success as a new IP, and that they're aiming to deliver game that still has a 60 dollars value. Hoping that the price reduction will persuade those interested in the game but are unsure of whether they'll enjoy it since its a new IP. This is apparently also why they've chosen to release it as early as September. Explaining that with a new IP, timing is important and this why they'll be looking to get the game out early during the season to hopefully further help its sales.

So it looks like Microsoft is really doing what they can to try and persuade Xbox One owners to get the game. This could both be seen as something positive or as a bad omen that the game might not live up to expectations.

From what you've seen so far of the game do you find it interesting, and if you can will you be looking into getting the game when it comes out?

History seems to teach us that severe price reductions off the bat means the game is not one that will be appreciated well by the general public. Perhaps the game will succeed, given certain conditions. But I predict the game will fail financially, perhaps critically as well. Who knows, though?
