It didn't crash because of the game, I've played it three or four times since and it worked perfectly. I'm definitely getting one of them but I'm not sure which one yet. With heart gold you get Hohoh, and Kyoger and with soul silver you get Lugia, and Groudon. But one things for sure thw game is going to be epic!

You can actually get both Lugia and Ho-Oh in both. That's the reason I'm getting Heart Gold over Soul Silver: You get Lugia at level 45 in SS, level 70 in HG. Plus, you get Kyogre in HG, and I prefer Kyogre to Groudon.

Yes, FR/LG are remakes. So no, unless it turns out Nintendo is more idiotic than I thought, we will not be seeing remakes of FR/LG. However, I am quite positive that Ruby, Sapphire, and maybe Emerald, will be re-made. I can actually see an Emerald remake, because it was so different from R/S that it wouldn't make sense to just incorporate some of Emerald's new features. But, the Emerald remake would come out after the R/S remakes, otherwise the Emerald remake would sell way more copies of the R/S remakes, and the other two would probably flunk.

i have Pokemon Heart Gold on reserve at game stop along with the strategy guide. I will also get Soul Silver at some point. I already know these games will be great due to the use of a partially translated rom. (aint emulation grand).

I am in the process of pre-ordering SS at this moment in time... but something has kinda worried me... on the site im pre-ordering from it said it's for DS Lite & DSi... but does that mean you can play it on an original DS? Cos if not then there's no point in me pre-ordering cos I won't be able to play it...

If I had the money and a DS, I'd most certainly buy them. Because while the region of Johto sucks (Kanto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh are all much greater in design), and Gold and Silver are vastly overrated, I did start with Silver, and these games are still Gen4 games at heart. (He he, I'm very punny)

And they will probubly make more 1st Gen remakes. Why? Nintendo are money suckers, knowing that the fanbase only likes Gen1 and 2, but also knowing that Gen3 was underated (They are, by far, the black sheep of the Pokemon franchise)

I just can't decide between HG or SS. Probably SS because the title looks better, but HG is actually more beneficial with the better title screen and more pokemon, even though they are both technically the same...
