And when things could not get any worse. Someone else dies along with prince. Her name is Joan Laurer. She was known in the past as a female wrestler she was one of my fav diva stars back when I was at a tender age of a toddler or a bit older than that. Anyways I did know her she was known with her wrestling name Chyna. She died at age 45 a pretty early middle age to die. Its really sad. Here is more info on it if you want to see.

The only WWE Diva who managed to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship. This was really a surprise when that happened. Rest in peace Joan Laurer a.k.a Chyna

Wow I was shocked when I first read the news about her death. It is a shame that the 9th wonder of the world has died especially at a young age. She broke the gender barrier back when she was in the WWF/WWE with her winning the Intercontinental Championship twice and was the first woman to versus men legitimately. She was quite the female specimen not being a stick figure like most of the women females that we see in the pro wrestling industries and has made a name throughout the women wrestlers.

After she got fired from the WWE, she held a grudge against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon since she was dating Triple H when she was in WWF/WWE in the late 1990s and early 2000s and Triple H cheated on Chyna with Stephanie McMahon. Despite of the fact that it was so long ago, she still hasn't moved on from it. I recall her having recent videos about her ranting about them and she didn't look good at all in her condition. It could be possible that she died from some sort of drug misuse or drug overdose in order to cope with her long time problem. The deaths of some of the WWE wrestlers whether it would be present or past, seem to have a tendency to happen at such young ages like the British Bulldog, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Umaga, and Mr Perfect.

I was shocked to hear about this. I looked up to her as a young kid because she could hold her own against the guys. She wasn't small, or delicate - she was strong, and fierce. I definitely feel like she influenced a generation, and made an impact on young women that i'm sure has rippled through today.

ghostfishy : I had no idea that Triple H had cheated on her with Stephanie. I think I remember her connection to Triple H now that you mention it, but the details of it are very grey.

That is a little scary to me. Both Prince and Chyna died relatively early and being that I am 40 myself that hits a little harder. I think Prince was 57 and Chyna was 45. 2015/2016 has taken many from us. I mean,why couldn't they take someone that we disliked? May they find peace in the afterlife and may their families know that they have our thoughts with them.

I heard about this, yeah WWE refused to put chyna in the hall of fame for reasons i'm not gonna get in to, but I think the chance is a lot bigger now, sad, really.

So many wrestlers have passed away in 2014/15/16. Sad.

ghostfishy : I already knew of that story its really sad since I was there and all I saw the whole thing! I don't really blame her for holding a grudge because triple h didn't break off with her and cheated on her. She should had gotten to hall of fame she was one of the best diva wrestlers out there!

She'll be missed, and If Vince isn't being stupid she should be into the Hall of Fame 2017.



More then likely she'll be confirmed sometime after Daniel Bryan.




As far as the women wrestler, she did a lot of things WWE simply wouldn't allow today,  she competed in the royal rumble and she even had a chance for the actual WWE title(but they ended up scrapping that)

If anything without Women wrestlers like herself in WWE back then, I don't think a Women's division would be a thing.

Man, 2016 sure has sucked thus far.

She was definitely one of the greats in wrestling, and I hope her name will go down as such. I never really followed wrestling though. So I can't exactly say I'm a huge fan, or know her best fights. But these things are still sad to hear. I hope that her friends and loved ones will find some comfort in this time. :/

I had heard about this literally seconds after I found out the death of Prince.

I was scrolling through my Facebook news feed and saw the article about Prince's death and I was like "Oh my gosh..." And then literally a couple seconds of scrolling later, I saw the news of Chyna's death and I was like "OH WOW!!!"

I watched wrestling a whole lot with my dad when I was a lot younger. I remember Chyna very well and she was one of the best women wrestlers from what I can remember. Even though I found out that she did a lot of drugs after she left wrestling, its a very sad story to say the least.

She will be missed especially, even if her history after WWE is bad. My school's morning show actually recognized this and reported she was the only woman to win the Intercontinental Championship twice. I see her being in the Hall of Fame next year, along with Daniel Bryan. I know that Triple H doesn't control the Hall of Fame, but I hope he can influence the team enough to let him induct her into the Hall of Fame.
