Staff : Please help me vote on the submissions from the 'Mega Man in Mario Paint' RGR competition from last month:

I'm trying something different this time, I'm allowing anyone to vote. I'll give anyone 3000 Viz who gives each submission a rating and a reason why they gave that rating (please don't be mean though and you can keep it as brief as you want).

Look over every submission from the images below and give each a rating from 1-5. 1 point means it was bad, 2 points means it was ok, 3 points means it was good, 4 points means it was great and 5 points means it was one of the best. Keep in mind that these were drawn in Mario Paint for the Super Nintendo.

wow there are really some great submissions! I'm impressed with what people can make in Mario Paint.

I like this one a lot too but this is my least favorite of the 3 due to the others being more "Megaman" themed. Still though, great work. I give it a 4.

Classic Mega Man Sprite by Guy A. Person – 3. A simple sprite and I like it. It looks exactly like Mega Man in the game.

Duel of Legacies by Dahaka – 5. This is amazing! Some action in a picture makes it look a lot better than a standing still character.

A Teardrop for a Miss by Dahaka – 5. This guy really deserves a creativity award. I really love the different emotions in this one.

Great submissions in this competition! I am really wondering how these users can make beautiful pieces of art using Mario Paint.

Mugga Minn an duh Wewwow Devoo by Sebrex – 1. Bad. If I didn't know this was a Mega Man contest I wouldn't know what he was drawing.

Classic Mega Man Sprite by Guy A. Person – 2. I don't really feel like copying a sprite is worthy of high rating. Even I could manage that and I have no artistic skills.

Submission by kameb – 3. This one is okay. I like what looks like the gun charging up. Still, could have been better.

What unite us by Dahaka – 5. Unreal! This is amazing.

Iconic by Korky27RD – 4. Good but compared to some other submissions it doesn't measure up.

A Teardrop for a Miss by Dahaka – 5. I almost rated this a 4 because I didn't recognize who you drew (I played Mega Man on NES ) but that didn't seem fair. Well drawn again so I can't fault it.

Clearly the winner here. That extra detail with all the little servbots brings this one up to a 5.

I think it's a pretty fun drawing, but I would have liked to see a little more effort.

As a pixel art lover I like the way it looks, but in this case I would have liked more originality, a different pose maybe.

A good one, I think the result it's great for a drawing made at 5am, though I can tell what is the image on which is based, also the user failed to provide a title.

The concept of a family reunited is good, also the light effects, but the flaws are the next: the face expressions looks a little odd, the proportions of the limbs are irregular (in the case of the character Auto), the background is simple, the poses are rigid and in general looks unclear.

I like the chibi style too, so it looks great for me, and the combination of colors in the background is good too, but I think this is a tragic case because I can detect a lot of potential from this user. And like the case of the submission 3, I also can tell the image on which this is based.

This submission gains solid points in comparison with my first submission, the pose and the perspective are great, very dynamic, but the big fail is the background, looks convoluted (I wanted to try something more complex but I overdid). In general a good drawing.

My favorite submission, I think the result is the best achieved between my three drawings, the only mistake I can notice is the effect of the shadows in the lower servbots.

I like sprite art, and I like it when it isn't done the easy way, but this is just not very creative, and doesn't do anything to inspire. Very flat and bland.

It's a different style, but I actually really like this. Decent proportions, distinct art style, just overall a good entry. I don't mind the bland background, but wish it were more colorful. Good idea, but slightly flawed execution.
