Hello! cnw here bringing you some PlayStation news for the first time. Upon doing my research I have stumbled upon some interesting news that I wanted to share with you all. So without further ado let us begin.

No Backwards Compatibility for the PS4
You probably already knew that from the start, right? To be able to play our old games that we loved so much would have been a nice feature to have. But similar to the first response Sony once again says no to backwards compatibility. On October 27th, Sony came off a very successful Paris Games Week presentation, Jim Ryan who is Sony's Europe head, sat down with Eurogamer and talked about many subjects, most importantly whether or not Sony was rethinking it's approach to backwards compatibility. Back in June Ryan made it clear that he didn't believe his company needed or wanted to make the move. In his most recent interview he explained in more detail as to why Sony doesn't have any interest in this kind of technology.

Here is what Jim Ryan of Sony stated

“People move on very quickly. It was very interesting to look at that montage of the various Tekkens, and seeing how those things have evolved over the years. The first one, which I loved, looks prehistoric. The next generation comes along, and people just jump at it. It gets talked about, and it’s always high on the list of what people want, but it’s not a feature that gets used that much.”

In short Sony wants to focus on making new games. Well, at least there is backwards compatibility for the Xbox One. Oh and speaking of new games that's what the next part of the article is about. Come on, let's take a peek at what's to come.

Games that Are Coming Our Way
In the Paris game week Sony revealed many games for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR that is to be released in 2016.
Before I announce the games let me explain what PlayStation VR is for the people that don't know. PlayStation VR is an upcoming virtual reality headset, previously known as Project Morpheus. The headset is designed to be compatible with PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. At the moment it is currently a prototype and is scheduled to be launched sometime during the first half of 2016.

Here is a list of games for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR:
Gran Turismo Sport
Robinson: The Journey
Tekken 7
Street Fighter 5
Until Dawn: Rush of Blood
Wild
Uncharted 4
and more!

If you are interested go here and check out every trailer from Sony's Paris Games Week 2015 Press Conference. It's a lot faster instead of having to go through a nearly 2 hour long conference looking to track each one down. Are there any games that you are looking forward to? Is there a game that you might want to try out?

Huh, I didn't know PlayStation VR would support the Vita as well. Maybe this will help change Sony's mind about the priority of their handheld game development. At the very least it'll give us Vita owners some extra goodies as well.

Also, am I the only one who checked the store for that free Invizimals game they announced but didn't find it? Oh well, I wasn't too interested in it anyway.

Nice article.

Gran Turismo Sport? I see, this is why there was that big announcement of asking the FIA for homologation for their fictional tracks. Either way, I hope they didn't throw away the Gran Turismo spirit of driving the most bonkers road cars ever made and focus instead on competition. +1 to my wishlist.

Dissapointed there's still no trailer for Tekken 7. I'm having the feeling that Namco is slacking off too much on this one. Missing at the E3, missing in Paris... So much hype, yet so little information besides that arcade release and the new characters and designs.

I'll have a closer look at those trailers, and see if I add something else to my wishlist.

So, keeping an eye open on GT Sport to know when it's released, the discussion of picking it over Project CARS shall be intense.

Just a heads up for everyone... this month's PS+ titles are freaking crazy.

Walking Dead Season 2 is a continuation of the excellent Season 1. Season 2 is also excellent. Pick up Season 1 if you haven't. Finish it. Download Season 2. Well worth it.

Magicka 2 is also excellent, especially if you have friends who play it. With every plus member getting it, you have no reason not to give it a cursory look with some friends.

Beyond: Good and Evil HD is an underrated gem, one that everyone should play at least once. It went largely unnoticed in the PS2 era, and got remade for PS3 a while back. Play it. Love it.

Finally, pick up Mass Effect 2. Mass Effect 2 is legit, one of the best games I've ever played, and you can get into it without having played the first one.

Dragon Fin Soup comes recommended from a friend, but I've yet to try it myself.

In addition to the games mentioned, I also heard that Quantic Dream is releasing a collection of Beyond: Two Souls and Heavy Rain on the same disc for the PS4 sometime in February. Can someone else confirm this or did I dream about hearing about this? XD

Anyways, if its true then I can't wait for February already! Beyond: Two Souls was probably the best game that I ever played for the PS3, and I never got to try Heavy Rain. I'm really excited about this collection if they're planning to release it in February! If you never got to play it for the PS3 then you are missing out!
