If you thought the time Microsoft bought Minecraft was big, it's time to reconsider because Microsoft is at it again in the buying department, this time buying Havok Tech, which is known for making the physics that pretty much all big games use. By pretty much all big games, I mean as many as you can think of because Havok has worked on more than 600 games in their career and have recently been working on games such as Fallout 4, Halo 5: Guardians, Uncharted 4, and a variety of other upcoming games. In the past, Havok has also worked on games such as Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, and The Elder Scrolls.

Don't most of these games sound like you would find them on non Microsoft consoles? Yes, hundreds of the games that they have worked on are for Nintendo and Sony, so how will this affect the other consoles? Microsoft did say that they will continue to license the services to Sony and Nintendo, but it may be very possible that this will happen at a cost to them, and its possible that many gamers may not like what happens because literally the future of hundreds of games are at stake here depending on what Microsoft decides to do.

What are your thoughts on the acquisition? I think that this will only work if Microsoft doesn't change a thing outside of games made by them, but there's no doubt at all that they will do that.

Eirinn : What do you think of this Mr. Sony?

Honestly I think if they tamper with things too much that Sony or Nintendo (or both) will either work with someone else or develop their own tech for it. It would cost them a lot of money, but it would also take a huge portion of the money that MS would be making from them, and as such I think MS will leave things alone. I'm reminded of the saying "They may be stupid, but they're not dumb." lol Now I'm not saying they actually are stupid, rather that despite their less than impressive moves in the past, MS knows to leave well enough alone. In trying to push Sony or Nintendo around, they'll only hurt themselves in the end.

Also if I didn't already have a bad taste in my mouth for Microsoft, I do now. What? Can they not actually make a good product on their own? Is that why all they can do is buy ideas, programs, and franchises from everyone else? But hey, why not? I mean, that's how Microsoft started to begin with, right? At least they're not stealing the programs from Bill's friends anymore though. That's at least worth something, right?

Eirinn : OH MY GAWD vizzed went down as I was submitting and everything went to hell.

I do hope MS sticks to their word, imagine what would really happen if the games have to get a new company, first of all the games would probably look very different, but also if these hundreds of games don't get the same company, they would probably end up paying more, and I doubt all those games will get the same one.

Even if MS still sells their license, all the other games could get screwed still, what if MS does an update, a very small one and a few of the games say they don't support the idea and cut ties with MS on their own? It could be just as much the games idea to leave MS as much as MS'S.
