I would like to be a male if I could. Funny enough I had this type of discussion a few weeks ago in my class. If I was a male, I wouldn't have to worry about being judged as much. I am judged in many ways as a female by society like wearing comfortable male-like clothes, not wearing make-up at all, not having a hobby for shopping, lifting stuff that seems heavy in the eyes of people who think I am weak (I am pretty sure a female adult can carry a watermelon), playing video games, and so forth. The list goes on and on but I don't want to rant and bore you males to death haha.

It seems a bit easier for males on the biologically side in general because they tend to be physically stronger, they aren't judged as much, and they don't have to deal with child birth.

solidx123456 : Flibbith is actually correct. Sex and gender both have different definitions but however our society tends to use them like they mean the same. Sex means how you identify yourself as and gender means the classifications and standards on how society sees the roles of males and females in cultural and social perspectives.

ghostfishy : Haha yeah I mentioned that earlier that almost everyone who has replied was a guy for some reason. Also yees I understand that gender and sex have different definitions but like you said, people today usually use them like they mean the same so I was just trying to keep things simple. I think I have explained this around 3 times. XD I'm not mad or anything it just gets a little annoying with so many people "correcting" me even though I have explained why I chose to say gender over sex and that I completely understand that gender and sex are different. Again I may just end up changing the title of this thread. Also I watched you played Counter Strike with Djinn and it was awesome to see you do better then him (well most of the time anyway. XD)

First off, can we stop with the entire "Oh, it's not gender it's sex" thing? Someone already said it, was a simple mistake, everyone knows what the person meant when making this thread. It's just coming out as annoying or tedious now.

As for the thread question, not really, no. I'm fine how I am, especially for my age.

maguc : THANK YOU for saying that. But it wasn't a mistake, I chose to put gender on purpose for reasons I already explained a few times. Again thanks maybe people will stop posting about it now. Cause no one seems to listen to me. XDD I've replied to so many people saying this and its getting kind of spammy and off topic, the two biggest things I try to keep out of my threads.

I apologize for being annoying by repeating something again. It's been a while since I've looked and posted on an interesting topic. I have to break the male barrier somehow haha.

If it would be as easy as in Ranma, sure, what the heck. Otherwise, heck no.

If I could change my gender I would not for one reason and one reason only fate. We were made to be this gender for a reason and changing our gender is messing with things we cannot possibly comprehend think of all the DNA that must be changed. So the reason we are the gender we are is all due to fate we could have easily became the opposite gender but fate made the decision to make you your gender and we are forced to accept that that is my reason that I shall not change my gender.

Ehh, No. This is kind of awkward coming across this thread actually because last night I had a dream that I was a guy it was terrible. I am happy to be a woman and I wouldn't change anything about me unless it was my weight. Just thinking about being a guy gives me the chills, I couldn't really imagine it. If I was forced to be a guy I guess I wouldn't have a choice but if I had a choice then nope.

Nope. I am perfectly happy with what genetics gave me at birth. However, I do admit I *might* have said otherwise had we been living under a gynarchy (as opposed to patriarchy, i.e male-dominated world).

If it was a one-time deal, then no. I'm biologically female, and while I don't feel like a girl some of the time, some of the time I DO feel like a girl and to lose the ability to be a girl at ALL would....bug me, I think.  I would like to see what it's like to be a guy in its entirety, but not as a permanent thing, I don't think. I'd prefer to be able to switch back and forth when I feel like it. 

...actually, that would be wonderful. To be able to switch my sex physically as well as my gender mentally when I feel like one or the other would be a major anxiety release, I think. Just...not as a once-off thing. If that were the only option, then no. I'll just stay biologically a girl and deal with the mental stress I have sometimes. 

I would never even consider switching genders because I'm perfectly happy as a guy. There's no reason why I'd want to be a women. I'd like to be WITH a women though!

I wouldn't, I very much enjoy being female.

I used to be like many women/girls I know and think, "I wish I was a guy, guys have it so easy, they don't know what it's like to put up with all the poop we go through," but I've come to realize that though many guys don't have the same emotions us girls have and don't have to deal with some of the things we do, they still have their own problems and feelings they must face every day. Guys have feelings, too, they are just different. And a good bit of the time girls and women have to put up and deal with drama they have created themselves; they just blame it on the guys who happen to be around. 

Until about age 12, I was more "feminine" and it came naturally. I was often called a tomboy and criticized for my behavior and hanging with the boys, but the truth, I found out later, is that I just had a free spirit, that I wasn't a sheep or part of the herd and didn't try to be a girl; I just was one. I didn't lack female gender qualities, I just lacked the mind frame that I was "supposed" to have.

Over the past few years I've been rediscovering what being female means to ME and accepting the way I've been created. I love that I am very sensitive and enjoy the small things in life, and I enjoy the contrast I feel between me and a guy when I'm standing in his company. I like dolling myself up just for me and making sure my daddy has breakfast ready for him in the morning. I like getting dirt under my nails and I have many scars from playing and working outside. I don't need to change my sex physically or mentally to feel better about myself or satisfy my curiosity, so no sex change, please!

As for wondering what it would be like to be a woman? Yes, I have wondered several times. I think it would be nice to bear a child. I mean, it would be painful, but I think the experience would be nice and worth it. However, I don't know if I would like all that comes with being a woman... they have to deal with more complex things than guys do. I am satisfied being a male when it comes to sex identity. 

If it were just a one day thing, then yes I would switch genders but since you're talking about a permanent change, I wouldn't even do it.  I'm fine the way I am.
