deg2000 : Believe it or not, it's incredibly difficult to get users to come and actively use the server. I've invested many hours over the past 8 months into doing this. I just thought the OnTime thing would be something new to try out.

I understand that there has been some doubt that I have been playing on the MC server legitimately, honestly I'm out of work for the holiday season as it's hard to convince people to get their houses painted this time of year. Sadly I must admit that I have no life outside of painting and video games. I've been playing MC for almost 2 years now and Sp has gotten rather boring so being able to play on a server with other players is quite a treat for me as I usually do a lot of farming and cooking. I'm not really on it so much for the possibility of a prize, more because I'm trying to get my xp back so I can enchant my gear. If I am logged in and afk, I am not or would I use a cheat just to get the top honors, I have too much fun playing for those kinds of shenanigans. See you all on the server when I'm paying attention to the chat, and if you ever need any food, don't be afraid to ask, I'd be more than happy to help.

legacyme3 : I changed it to 5 minutes for the time being. We'll see how that goes and I can make adjustments if needed. Keep in mind that when you're chatting, that's considered idling so if you're chatting for 5 minutes straight, then it becomes idle time.

That's good. The people in the top 5 should be the people who played the game the most, not the people who were online and using chat the most. If you want to chat, go into the chat rooms. If you want to play Minecraft, go onto Minecraft.

Damn. I knew I had been on a lot this month, but I had no idea I was in second for the month in total time :s

I think next month, I should focus on other things, that's about 50 hours more than I originally thought I'd spend online this month.

legacyme3 : Makes sense to me, any time I go on, you're either on or you eventually come on. Also, you spent 20+ hours on that Peanuts picture.

Yeah, but still, to be 2nd at this stage of the month is unreal. Always feels like deg, Davide, Zlinqx, Ben, Laian, or other people are right there, the entire time.

I might be a little late to suggest this but there is a plugin I remember using on my server where a player can type in "/afk" and wouldn't have it count to there play time so they can idle if they have to go afk honestly and not get kicked for it.

I'll try and look into it if you'd be interested.

You don't get kicked, but you also stop racking up play time if you idle for 2 or 3 minutes.

The results right now are mostly legitimate. The top 5, at least, have been on the most and have generally done the most.
