What are your thoughts on CoD: AW? Any PS3 players interested in getting a clan going?

Personally, I'm really enjoying it. I really didn't like Ghosts, but Advanced Warfare has impressed me so far. I haven't gotten to try the online multiplayer yet, but I've been playing in the campaign and playing co-op survival with my cousin as well.

mrfe :  I could probably Google it, but it's much more interesting getting the info from someone I "know" than a faceless reviewer.  Although I don't play COD anymore I still catch the new releases now and again just for interest sake.  So as you would've gathered I haven't played the game (yet).  I probably never will.  Like I said, I'm just interested to hear about the new weapons, gadgets, maps, multiplayer modes etc. if there's actually anything new and unique this version can offer.  I also don't play FPS on consoles, because first of all I don't have a PS3 anymore and second of all I suck at aiming when playing with a game pad.  So it's PC for me.  If I was maybe 12 years younger and not married and living in the US, I would definitely join you.  In my gaming heydays I used to take part in online COD comps, so I know the franchise pretty well.  I'm very skeptic when Activision (or is this one published / developed by Treyarch?) launches a "new" COD as it's basically the same cake with different icing on top.  The Hollywood action sequences have been done to death and for me personally it doesn't WOW me anymore (talking about the singleplayer campaigns here).  So what makes this one different compared to MW2, MW3, Black ops and Black ops 2 ? (that's where I stopped playing the franchise).  I haven't played Ghosts so I can't comment on that.  What I do like about the Infinity Ward MW is the Spec Ops package they added with their games.  Zombies was fun with the Treyarch releases, but it's getting a bit old.  So what's new in this one or in what way has it impressed you?

The game looked liked a shameless titanfall rip off.
It matches the pattern of cod games getting more and more ridiculous though, so kudos to them for perservierence.

It was made by former cod dev, using suits and jumping mechanics.
A few months later cod announced they would be using fighting suits and similar mechanics.

SoL@R : First off, I apologize for the delay in this response. I was sick with the flu for a good portion of last week, and wanted to be more clear-minded when writing this up.

Campaign - I played the Campaign for a good solid 2 hours, and only scratched the surface of the game. The storyline was engaging, but not challenging to follow. Not too difficult to play, yet the controls were smoother than other CoD's like Black Ops. I won't go into spoilers, but the story is surprisingly deep. I was impressed, and I'm still not done. Prolly would give this about 8-8.5/10? Story would probably be a 9 though, at least from what I've played.

Won't lie, multiplayer is still pretty standard multiplayer. The maps are more open, I think, which really helps with the added exo-suit feature. The maps were definitely mainly designed with that exo-suit feature in mind, and there isn't a ton of close-up that I've seen. That makes shotguns rather void, though you can still do alright with a shotgun if you are a habitual camper. In my opinion, the exo-suits and design of the firing mechanic really create a more fluid and faster-paced environment as compared to either of the Black Ops games (which are what I'm most familiar with). I like the faster pace, so it's more my style.

My cousin played a good 2 hours of Advanced Warfare, and is buying the game later this week lol. That was also my reaction. So, I'm a fan. xD

Maybe a 8/10 or 8.5/10 in relation to CoD games, with the Black Ops' rating in closer to 6ish?

I do play Advanced Warfare on Xbox One! I also have Ghosts! It is certainly a mix between any Call of Duty game and Titanfall (which I have!) I went straight into Xbox Live and I'm at 1^st prestige, level 46 (you prestige after level 50). My favorite mode is Hardpoint, if you are a very low level, you can level up like 5 times, and even if you're not that low up, every match, if you do well, you're bound to level up. Anyways, I think it is a good game.

mrfe : One thing I'd really like to know is how different is that game from every other call of duty game in existence?

Looks a lot better than Ghosts, So might pick it up or wait for a price drop or discount.
