I try to be a well rounded character, honestly. But, the skills that are generally the highest are archery, two handed weapons, and heavy armor. 
I tend to be a Nord.

Well I am really far in the game so I use all the skills. I am level 52 Nord.  I mostly use a one handed weapon with a shield. That way I can level up to skills at once while in Combat. I always use light armor. That way I wont drain has much stamina and I can run faster. I always do smithing because it is like the fastest way to level up. Other than that there inst much else to say.

My Khajiit (currently my only playthrough. I only just started playing Skyrim a few months ago) is skilled in many areas. As a Khajiit, it's natural that he has a very high sneak ability as well as a great lockpicking ability. My highest level of skill is conjuration, around 65 or something. I conjure Atronachs occasionally, but what I conjure most is my Bound Sword. That also makes my One-Handed around 60. My final main skill is destruction. I only used flames until I got Bound Sword, but now I use lightning bolt often.
