Crash Bandicoot 2 Cortex Strikes Back 100% Walkthrough.

Hello...its me again bringing you another walkthrough to do.....mind you a lot of people tend to get stuck on this game at times. And it would mostly be the gems and the colour gems part. So this walkthrough will be 100%. I hope this helps anyone in a way. And also I adore this game as it was part of my childhood, as for the rest of other people who came to play this game as well. This game carries on from Crash Bandicoot. And for those who have played that will know what I mean..... that game gave me a headache to do, because of the hard things. In this game it will be a lot more easier.

Crash will also gain new abilities to do such as the body slam move, high jump, extra high jump move and the glide, jump. First of I'll explain a few more things before I get started. First when coco send you off to go and find her a battery. In the middle of your findings you will be warped to a room. This will be called the *Warp Room.* in this room are 5 levels to complete. Complete this first room in order to unlock the next one above. And to do that you will have the face bosses such as Ripper Roo, Tiny, The Komodo Brothers and N.Gin. This walkthrough will be a bit different from other ones that I would normally do. So I will be explaining more of how to get the gems, what the bonus rounds are like and more.

Oh heads up in order to get the *Grey Gems* you will need to collect all of the boxes that are in that level. And also there will be some levels that you will have to come back later too. As you will not be able to complete them on the first go. And also, the colour gems. When you collect some of them they can take you to hidden places in other levels. In order to complete the level that was incompleted. I hope you understand this now?

Oh another thing.....there are hidden levels to be found, that will be placed in the walkthrough as well, on how to get there. When you get warped, as I said there will be 5 levels each to do. Cortex will send you to get crystals for him, but that’s up to you. You can either do that or not as the endings are different in this game. On top of the level name, turtle woods. You should see 3 looking crafted shapes. The first one is the colour gem the second is the crystal and the third is the grey gem. Mind you not all colour gems will be on all levels. Sometimes there will be just the crystal and the grey gem to get. While at times there will be 2 grey gems and a crystal. So it will be different each time.

Here Is A Note To Do With The Grey Gems 

To get the grey gems you will need to break every crate boxes you see. That includes the tnts and the nitros boxes. Don't jump on the nitros as you will die. There is another way to get rid of them. At the end of the level or near the end of the level you should see this



That exclamation mark will destroy all of the nitro boxes. As for the tnt jump on them until they explode. Make sure to move out of the way before it explodes. And also here is what the bonuses level will look like. So if you see it go head and do it. As that count for the boxes in the level.

Turtle Woods level 1.
Obtain Blue Coloured Gem, Purple Crystal And A Grey Gem.

How To Get The Blue Coloured Gem

First of all in this level do not collect the boxes, including the bonus round avoid it. Make your way to the end of the level without dying. If you see the purple crystal make sure to get it. There will be huge pit falls with some animals, that will try to kill you. To avoid this try to glide jump to the side, and to miss it. If you fall into the pit hole, make sure you try not to die. Make your way to the exit of the level, if you do this right. Then you will obtain the blue colour gem.

Redo again this time, but to get all of the boxes for the grey gem.

Make your way back outside. And then die. Do the level again and collect all of the boxes. Do the bonus round as well, and a tutorial one before it. Let me show you what they will look like this is for the tutorial level, only on turtle woods. And the other two are for the bonus round. I am showing two as you will encounter more of these in the game. As you play on further.







When you do this you should have the grey gem as well. That will be turtle woods level fully completed.

Btw. You need to go into the bonus rounds for a very good reason. Or you will not be able to get the grey gem at all. I thought that I should let you know this. And also the bonus rounds are incredibly short. So it is not as hard as the first game was. Which makes a lot of difference.

Snow Go level 2.
Obtain Red Coloured Gem, Purple Crystal And A Grey Gem.

You won't be able to complete this level fully, to get the red gem. So just get the purple crystal and the grey gem for now. Remember collect all boxes for the grey gem. Don't worry you'll come back to this level again to complete it fully.

Hang Eight Level 3.
Obtain A Purple Crystal And 2 Grey Gems.

This level was a bit annoying on my first go. I am sure same went for some other people as well. Your enemies on this is are, giant eating purple looking plants. Make sure you avoid their attack and use crashes twist attack to get rid of them. To get the first grey gem you will need to do this fast.

A Speed Run, For The First Grey Gem To Get.

This will be a speed run, so get to the first checkpoint and hit the box. So when you die you can appear back there. Only hit this checkpoint. Others you meet beyond, avoid them. Get onto the surfboard looking thing, that is on the water. And you will be timed for 1 min. heres a picture



Surf and do this quickly as you can, but yet carefully still in control. To boost your surf make sure you press circle. Watch out for those whirlpools and mine explosives too. Forget about the boxes and the bonus level for now. Just make your way to the end of the level, to beat that timer! Oh here's something you will see on your way to the end of the level.



You see that? It’s a blue gem platform, that will take you another place to get more boxes. To complete hang eight. Remember I explained this at the beginning so you don't get confused. Avoid it for now and keep on running. Even avoid the purple crystal. When you do beat a you should get your first grey gem. Go back outside and then die. And you should appear back at that checkpoint.

Redo again this time, but to get all of the boxes for the grey gem

If you accidentally got the wrong checkpoint box. Collect the gem and head out of the level. Then enter back again. Collect the boxes, the purple crystal, do the blue gem level and also the bonus round as well. Let me explain this one.

Blue Gem Level

You have a lot of jumping to do. When you get on the surfing board again. Also there is something else that I should explain. You see the surf jump boards in the water? Use the boost when you are in front of one to get the boxes that are in the air. There will be some invisible boxes that you can't get. So just make your way to the end and you should see this.



Surf to it and then turn back! You need to go back and collect those boxes. Watch out as you try to turn back, that you don't crash into the nitros. And also the mine explosives as well. some or most will move to try and hit you. So avoid them. When you head back all of those invisible boxes will appear. Collect them all, and complete that level. Also destroy the nitros with the other exclamation mark in green. Also do then bonus round as well. This will give you your second grey gem. And that will be hang eight completed!

The Pits Level 4.
Obtain Purple Crystal And A Grey Gem.

This level is similar to turtle woods, so you shouldn't have problems with it. But, the thing is that on this level there will be a lot of pit holes so watch out. There will be some bird enemies. So jump on their backs when they come flying towards you. Ok you should come to a part of the level when the roads spits up.



Take the path to the left first. Because if you go to the right there will be some invisible boxes. And the exclamation mark to hit it for them to appear, is on the left side. When you do see it hit it, and carry onto the end of the path. When you see the crystal grab it. Keep going until you have reached the end of this section path. What you NOW have to do is go back to the start of the split section without dying. So be very, very careful. When you mange to make it alive head to the right path. some of the boxes will appear, or start too as you make your way through the path. Remember to do the bonus round. Here is something that you need to see that you will encounter more of.



This box here. You will need to use a body slam on it. But before you do make sure any crate boxes that are above it are collected first. Complete it and keep on going until you have reached the end of the level and again you should get another grey gem. That will be the pits completed!

Crash Dash Level 5.
Obtain A Purple Crystal And A Grey Gem.

This is where the fun begins! It Is quite unexpected. And you are wondering hey....why is the level not normal? And also why is the entrance facing the other way? theres only one way to find out. Not only that a suspicious kind of eerily music plays! And you wonder whats going on..... keep on going until it gets revealed. You will be running away from a snow looking like bolder! Exciting isn't it? Well make sure you run good. But, that’s not where all the fuzz ends. There will be traps waiting for you! Like ground mines and pit holes, so watch out for that. That will be on the first part. There will be two mines so avoid them by dodging them. Keep on going until you have reached a safe place like this.



Then the bolder will come to a stop by crashing. Sad to say you can not go back the other way. So you have to keep going by moving on ahead. There will be more traps ahead for you. Such as more mines pit holes. And if you think it doesn't get more better than that, electric mine barriers! yay fun! And that’s what makes a great game exciting and fun right? That will be the second section. For the their section you really got to be careful. There will be some more mines layed on the ground pit holes, electric mine barriers and...and! nitros?!



You see this? Make sure that you stay onto the right so that you don't accidentally hit into the nitros. Keep on going until you come to a long bridge. Then the bolder will fall into that long bridge. In front you should see a purple crystal, and the bonus round platform. Jump onto it. Oh, this bonus round you need to be careful. As there are some boxes in the air. Another reason. You can die easily if you miss one.

For the first row of boxes will be one jump and they will break. For the bottom ones which last longer, you will need to count up to 10, then quickly jump onto the next box. I hope this helps a little, in a way.

So when you have done that carry on with the level. And this should be the last stage. For the last one there will be speed ups for you to go on, so that you can gain speed. Also a crafty thing that you did they placed the crate boxes out in the area. So make sure you get them. You should come to the first one, in the right jump, of a pit fall. Or more like when you are jumping over them. And others will be behind a electrical mine barriers. Just crafty isn't it? Make sure you get those boxes and continue to run! When you do collect the grey gem and exit out. And that will be crash dash completed. Cortex will talk to you before you can go up the next warp room. Your first boss will be next waiting for you.

1st Boss Ripper Roo

Remember this guy? He went somewhere to better his craziness. But, it seems he is still a bit crazy. The way he will attack you is like he will use his stick to place tnts on the floor. What you need to do is move and stay in a safe place, that way you won't get exploded and he will. For the first one move to the bottom left. For the second one he will use nitros. Go to the bottom right and the nitros will explode. When that happens use crash twist attack on ripper roo, which will cut off some of his life. That will be the first stage done. For the second stage he will yet again use tnts, but go in a different position so be careful. Go to the bottom middle to avoid this attack. The next one will be nitros again go to the bottom right to avoid. After hes gotten dizzy again attack ripper roo. For the third stage you'll first need too go to the middle left as this is where people might die on. Then for the next one go to the slight left bottom middle. Be careful one nitro on the left can kill you. Attack ripper room for the last time. And that will be the end of him. You will unlock the next warp room.

Warp Room 2

First off do Air Crash, and then go to Snow Bliz. there is a very good reason, as of why I am saying this. I will put Snow Bliz second on the listings to do.

Air Crash level 7.
Obtain A Purple Crystal And 2 Grey Gems.

This level is very much like hang eight. You will see more of them soon. I am going to post a link here for you to see.

You'll will then get the red gem from Snow Go. And that will complete it. Then warp room 1 will be completed. Head back to warp room 2 and do Snow Bliz. All will be revealed why I said this.

Snow Bliz Level 6.
Obtain A Purple Crystal And Grey Gem.

Ok! So do the level like normal. Until you come to a red gem looking platform. See? See the reason now?

Red Gem Level

So in here, you will need to look out. As further one there will be invisible boxes when you come to this place



Destroy the boxes on the bottom using body slam. And then go on the jump boost and tap the tnt move out of the way. Above which you can not see. An exclamation mark boxes if that is still not good enough for you. Here's a link for the whole level including the red gem one. There are things that you will need to watch out on that level.

So when you eventually have done the level, go back to Air Crash.

Air Crash Part 2

So get back to where you first left off. And this time go onto the surf board, get the boxes and remember to avoid the mines at all costs. You might want to watch out if you lose a mask because there are like 6 nitros at the end of the surf part. So try your best not to crash into any of them. When you get off, you should see the bonus round onto your right. So go and do it. There will be some boxes in the air so watch your step when you try to get them. This one is fairly simple to do. But, also crafty as well. Move further into the level. When you get up the stairs, there will be a box in the river part onto your right. This will be annoying to do...you will need to jump onto the box and quickly land back onto the ground without dying in the water. This will be a good moment to explain some other things as well. Do you see this?



Its called a No Death Platform. It will only appear if you have not died at all. This will take you to a special place with more boxes to collect, but with harder levels.

No Death Platform Run

So...this one is going to be exciting! More dangerous things and challengeable levels to do! Anyways back to the point. You will need to play it very safely on how you move about when you get to there. You need to be extra careful.



You see where you have to jump? Don't jump onto it too quickly as the other one to jump on is still in the water. So with the right timing jump, then jump onto the hippo it will sink as it won't hold on. So watch out, then jump again to get to the next place. If you did that right them good for you! But the job is not done yet! Get onto the surfboard watch out for the nitros. Use the boost to make you jump up to get to the other side. There will be more nitros. They will block your path. But, you see the whirlpool on the left? A path there is still opened for you to go through. Go and then use the turbo boost so that you don't sink. Watch out for the moving mines two will be going the same way. While one is going the other direction. Pass them. When you land jump onto the hippos, then take the first grey gem, and exit out of the area. Sadly this level can not be fully completed. And to get the second grey gem for that level you need to access into another area. Which I will tell you of later on.

Move onto the next level which is my absolute FAVORITE EVER! It’s a really fun level to do

Bear It level 8.
Obtain Purple Crystal And A Grey Gem.

You notice a polar bear next the level? We go onto it and you will see why. You will get to ride on it! I won't explain, as it will be difficult for me to do. So I'll post another link up here for you to see. But I will say this. You have a lot, a lot of things to dodge.

Next level will be Crash Crush, its another level like Crash Dash. Yes its that fun level!

Crash Crush Level 9.
Obtain Purple Crystal And A Grey Gem.

The only new traps will be a permanent electric barriers. So for that one you need to glide through it. Make sure it is at the right timing if not then you will get yourself a shock through crashes body, and that would not be nice now wouldn't it? Also there will be two split paths when you come to a place. Go through the right as you will be coming from the left. Its only a short one. But be careful there are a lot of barriers here. And you will need to jump rightly too as there is a pit hole. When you see a platform ahead jump onto it. And you will be lead back to the split end path. Carry on until you see the next crystal, and get to the bonus round. And again there will be some boxes laying around when you are running away from the bolder. So do what you can to get them.


The last level in warp room is The Eel Deal. To be honest I don't really like the level that much. For this level there will be a coloured gem to get.

The Eel Deal Level 10.
Obtain Green Coloured Gem, Purple Crystal And A Grey Gem.

First of all. The things that you need to look out are the eel fishes in the water. They have the ability to use lighting which will show yellow. So only go into the water to jump when it is blue and clear. There is a secret passage in the area. That’s only when the road splits into two different sections. So I'll put up a link for you to see.

How To Get The Green Coloured Gem

When you have done that. Carry on from where you left with the split road by going left. The bonus round should be up ahead. This one will be easy. So carry on once it is done. There will be another split road. Go onto the left first to get the crystal, boxes. And then go onto the right. There will be a hole to jump down into. Miss it first and tend to the boxes that you see before you. And then jump down. You are nearly at the end of the level now. You will need to climb on this



For the first part, and then hit the exclamation mark further on to get rid of the nitros. And then carry on with the climb. You might need to be careful as there are spikey looking enemies. You can avoid them by making crash crouch up. So that’s another way for him not to be hit. Keep on going until you see some other ones. If you touch them you will die instantly. So time your jumps in order to avoid them. You should get a gray gem as well at the end of the level. And that will be warp room 2 completed. You will now need to face the second boss.

The Komodo Brothers Boss 2

Now for this boss I don't know if any of you guys remember crash team racing. But komodo Joe is with his brother to take down crash. What his brother will do is spin him to your way so make sure you head to a direction to dodge it well. The best thing to do is not be where komodo Joe spins. When he messes up go and attack him. When you have done that, komodo Joes brother will start to circle throw his weapons, out to get you. Make sure you go to the opposite direction to avoid them. And here's a note. Do not attack the brother as you will die. Use komodo Joe as the attacker to attack his brother. By the 3rd time when komodo Joes brother spins him he will through his weapons directly at you! So dodge and then hit Joe when he's down for the count. You will now unlock warp room 3.

Warp room 3

Plant Food level 11
Sewer Or Later level 12
Bear Down level 13
Road To Ruin level 14
Un-Bearable level 15

Personally for me I don't like how it looks...anyways. Start with Bear Down first. There's another good reason, as of why I say this.

Bear down Level 13.
Obtain A Purple Crystal and A Grey Gem.

This is another level that you meet polar bear. This level is slightly difficult to do, so you will need to watch out for where you jump. But its fun also! When polar throws you off, you should see circle looking ices on the lake. First get rid of the nitros, get your gem. DON'T EXIT OUT!. Go and jump on them until you have landed onto the white one. this....will take you to a secret level. Remember Air Crash? Yes that is yet to be still completed 100%

Air Crash Level 7 Part 3

Now. In this level you got to really be careful. Just avoid the mines and the nitros as well. When you get to the end destroy the nitros, and you will be back at the beginning of air crash. Just complete the level, and make sure to get all of the boxes! That includes the ones in the bonus round. Also a note, if you had not died yet then avoid the no death platform. There is no need to go there again. And another thing you see this?



Don't go on the surfboard yet, make sure you jump onto the left platform as there are some boxes over there. Another crafty way for them to think you can miss the boxes. Then go back onto the surfboard. So spree through to the end of the level, and you should get your second grey gem.

Now when that is done head back up to warp room 3 to do plant food level. I hate this level seriously I do. So....I try to get it out of the way with as much as I can. Same with sewer or later.

Plant Food Level 11.
Obtain A Yellow Coloured Gem, Purple Crystal And A Grey Gem. 

How To Get The Yellow Gem

There will be another speed run so avoid everything, including the purple crystal, and the checkpoints. Just get to the end of the level as fast as you can! When you do make it get the yellow gem head back outside and die. If you accidentally got a checkpoint then, exit out of the level and go back in.

Redo The Level.

Start the level again, and by GETTING everything this time around. Make sure you do the bonus round, and also if you see a no death platform too.

Sewer Or Later Level 12.
Obtain A Purple Crystal And 2 Grey Gems.

Ok. Its very important that you listen to what I have to say for this level to make it easier for you to complete ok? There will be a yellow gem level, but do you not go on It yet. As it will take you further down in the tunnel, causing you to miss out some boxes. And then you will not be able to get the grey gem because of that. And also there is a new enemy around. He is a evil human using a weapon like to do a flamethrower on you.

To attack this person all you need to do is that attack him when the fire goes out. And also another thing. You will get to a part when the fans will stop you in your tracks. Slide glide the enemy into it, and making a path for you. This you can either do. Or miss out the yellow gem route and get the crystal and the grey gem first. Or do it altogether by backtracking and going back for the yellow gem level.

Do Un-Bearable next, instead of Road To Ruin.

Un-Bearable Level 15.
Obtain A Purple Crystal And A Grey Gem.

Its similar to Crash Crush. But, unlike a bolder.... a polar bear will be chasing after you! Yes a big, freakish, mean looking polar bear will chase after you this time! but...there are 1 secret level and another hidden level in un-bearable. So what you have to do to find them is that. First on the second round when the polar bear falls down. Follow him. And this level....oh boy will annoy you to death. Here's what you need to do.

At the end of the level collect the gem. But, head back outside to go and see if the little polar bear is ok. To do this glide and jump back onto the other platform. When you do. You will get teleported back to the secret warp room. And this time you will need to do a level called totally bear.

Totally Bear Level 26.
Obtain A Grey Gem.

I adore this level. There are no lights whatsoever, so it is really challenging to do. Also you will need to do speed boost for long jumps as well. Have fun doing it! When you do that, you will receive a grey gem. Make your way back to warp room, to do the last level which is Road To Ruins.

Road To Ruin Level 14.
Obtain Purple Crystal and 2 Grey Gems.

For this level sadly you will not be able to do it 100%. So just get the crystal to be able to get to the next warp room. Just skip everything such as the bonus round, no death platform. Just mainly focus on getting the purple crystal first. When you have done this first section of the level. Head up to face your 3rd boss

Tiny boss 3

Tiny, will be your next boss. But, I always wonder why his name is tiny even though he doesn't look one. :/

anyways for this boss you will need to jump on the platforms, as he will chase after you. So what you need to do is lead him onto the red ones which will fall. Don't worry the platforms will reappear from when they have fallen. Also don't get yourself into the platforms which shows red. Or you will drop along with him. So make sure you fool tiny. Remember as he loses more life he will get heard to beat. So watch out. When you have done that you will unlock warp room 4.

Warp Room 4

Hangin' Out level 16
Diggin' It level 17
Cold Hard Crash level 18
Ruination level 19
Bee-Having level 20

Do Diggin' It first, as there is a secret level that you need to get too.

Diggin' It level 17.
Obtain Purple Crystal And 2 Grey Gems.

In this level there will be new enemies. Such as plants spiting grenades at you, bees and also a hammer man. For the plant jump, and use body slam on them when you get near. As they will cover their whole body. For the bees you can use your twister move to get rid of them and for the hammer man slide glide him out of the way. There will be a lot of nitros and stuff so watch out. Also there will be mines placed on the floor as well and electrical fence. So you ill only be able to cross when it allows you too. And there's more there will be some tikki face enemy. Also there will also be two split sections. The left one will have a no death platform, and the right will be the normal way. If you are brave enough to get the grey gem from there, this is what you need to do. First do the right. And when you come off at the end of the split section. Go all the way back to the beginning of it to do the no death run.

No Death Platform Run

Watch out as in the beginning there are lots of nitros so find the best way to avoid them. I suggest run and then quickly glide, to jump over them which should do the trick. There will also be some plants in the way as well. So remember to use body slam on them. You should find your first grey gem in this area. When you have claimed it, keep on going until the end of this run.

When you get back on route head for the exit, and you should get a grey gem. And again DO NOT EXIT OUT OF THE LEVEL! Go back out to this place.



That is a secret portal to the secret warp room again. And when you come out from it will say Road To Ruin. Remember that level? From there you can complete it. So head on in.

Road To Ruin Part 2

Certain invisible boxes that, you was not able to get before will appear so....don't go using the twister move just break the boxes by jumping on them. Why? Because there's one tnt waiting that’s why. If you recklessly done the twister attack, then you would had died. So that’s the best way to do it. When you have done that carry on and jump over the nitros. Hit the exclamation mark, and you should be back at the beginning of the level. And make sure you watch out for the no death run part to do as well.

No Death Platform Run

Well there will be logs thrown at you. So either use the twister move to get rid of them, or jump over it. And you will find out that a gorilla is doing it, get rid of him and carry on. Pass the moving platforms by jumping on them. And more logs will be thrown at you. And get rid of the gorilla again. This next part might get tricky for you. Basically. You need to jump and stay on the moving rotation platform ,as it will move slowly. And you can easily fall off. There will be two of them so pass by when you get the chance. Avoid the flaming heads and you should find your first grey gem. Step on the no death platform again, and it will take you back onto the main path. BUT! After you have broken the boxes in front of you. You will need to go back a bit as there are some boxes there. You need to go back until you find the checkpoint box. When you have done that go back and carry on with the path before you. Do the bonus round and end the level. You should get your second grey gem. When you do head on out. You have fully competed warp room 3 so head back to warp room 4. Do bee-having next.

Bee-Having level 20
Obtain A Purple Gem, Purple Crystal And A Grey Gem.

Ok first off this level is pretty much similar to Diggin' It. And the bees on this level comes in groups so you can not spin them away. What you have to do is if you see this.



Make sure to go underground like you did before, in the previous level. And also when you come to this place.



How To Get The Purple Gem

It’s a stack of nitros put on one another as you can see but....there's something strange about it...they are not jumping up and down. So they are all fakes! But, fear not. For when you jump on them it will appear to be a secret portal to a hidden level. There is one thing you should get. Keep on going until you find the purple gem. You don't need to complete the level, so when you obtain it die. So you can get back onto the main path.

Find the bonus level but....I should warn you that this bonus level is crafty. There will be a lot of nitros. Also there will be some boxes on top of the nitros. So count your jumps rightly, as the nitro will throw the boxes in the air. When that is finished watch out for more nitros and find that exclamation mark to get rid of them. Watch out for how you do this. Make sure you hit the exclamation mark while you are underground. When you do, you should get your grey gem. Exit out of the level. When you get warped back, go into Hangin' Out.

Hangin' Out Level 16.
Obtain A Purple Crystal And A Grey Gem. 

This is another sewer level....yes so you should know what to do. There are two sections to do so firstly get your purple crystal and go this way.









This will lead you to another hidden level and to a secret portal as well. You will come out of that secret warp room again, saying totally fly. This is the last level in the secret warp room. This level is unusual to do so I'll post a link here of what you have to do.

Totally Fly Level 27.
Obtain A Grey Gem.

Creepy level right? When you do that you will obtain a grey gem. There's no crystals to be collected for this one. Just head back to Hangin' Out again to complete the level fully, with this time going the way where the checkpoint box is.

Hangin' Out Part 2

Beyond there will be the bonus level. In this bonus round you really have to be careful as there are a lot of nitros around. There will be one part that you will get stuck on. What you have to do is glide at the right time and then jump onto the springer box, that will make you go up into the air. Jump over the other nitros and then land on the tnts. The last part may annoy you. As there are boxes in the air and some on the bottom. So the best way to do it, I think is that get rid of the ones that are on the top. Then work on how to get rid of the ones on the bottom. You will die a few times, so it will take sometime to get. When that is done carry on with the level. You are near the end, so you should have another grey gem. Do cold hard crash next.

Cold Hard Crash Level 18.
Obtain A Purple Crystal And 2 Grey Gems. 

This is another ice level to do. In this level there's a no death run, before you go onto the no death platform hit the checkpoint box. And some other ones stacked up on top it as well. So that you don't miss any boxes.

No Death Platform Run

For this you will be skating on a slippery ice. There will be some invisible boxes so you will need to make your way near to the end of the level to hit the exclamation mark. MAKE SURE that you go back once you hit it. Slide backwards to get the boxes at the beginning of the level, and then go back for the grey gem.

When you finish the no death run you will end up outside. When you do die. Don't hit the checkpoint just die. So that you end up back where you was before you took the no death platform keep on going. Do the bonus round to get it over with. One thing you should see is 4 exclamation marks above you, that will trigger the invisible boxes. There will also be some boxes on the ice as well. There is one behind 2 nitros so watch out for how you get it. Sometime after you will end up back outside. And don't die this time. Hit the checkpoint and carry on. You should see the purple crystal. Collect the few remaining boxes. Hit the exclamation mark to get rid of the boxes, and then claim the second grey gem.

Ruination Level 19.
Obtain A Purple Crystal And 2 Grey Gems. 

At the beginning of the level. I would like to point out when you break the first 4 boxes, watch out as there is one nitro there. So you can easily be catch off guard. Make your way through the level. And soon you should come to see a green gem platform. Hit the checkpoint next to it. You need too so that you don't miss any boxes. As when you complete the green gem level area, it will take you further down the level. And that’s something that you do not want.

Green Gem Level

There will be a lot of jumping and throwing going around in this level. Just make sure to time what you do rightly. Keep going and you should see your first grey gem. Go onto the green gem platform and it will take you back to the main path. But, as you can see from what I said, this will take you much further near the end of the level. And that’s not what you want. Get the boxes before you, and then die.


You should appear back at the checkpoint, to where the green gem platform is. So carry on with the route by dodging the flaming heads, other enemies, and getting every boxes that you would had missed. Make sure you remember to do the bonus round too. And again. This bonus round is quite hard to do....so it will take sometime to do it. When you have managed to do that, carry on until you have gotten the purple crystal. Once you have gotten it you should see the exclamation mark. But wait. Its not in a normal place of where it should be. Its in the air! So in order to hit it. You need to jump onto the moving platforms, and then when it is the right time....jump on top of it! Then jump back and keep on going, until you have reached the end of the level. You should get your second grey gem.

That will be Warp Room 4 completed. You will need to go to the 3rd boss in order to unlock the final warp room.

N.Gin Boss 3

He will be your second to last boss. This is what you need to do. In able to attack him, you need to use the wumpa fruit. Weird way to attack him right? Make sure you dodge his attacks as well. On the first stage he will use laser attacks on you. The second will be missiles coming from his shoulder. And the third will be death shock kind of beam, coming from the green part of his weapon. What will happen is that. He will shoot the beam in the direction, of which platform that you will be standing on. So you will need to act fast and move away. When you have the chance finish him off by attacking with more wumpa fruits. And that will be the end of N.Gin.

Piston It Away level 21.
Obtain A Purple Crystal And 2 Grey Gems. 

Now in this warp room its full of high teck things and stuff. So you better watch out. And also there will be some scientists, who will try to block your way with a long shield. Don't attack when they push it at you, glide attack them so that they can fall. There will also be some brand new enemies to face as well during this level. Such as robots. There's a no death platform on this level so what you should do is miss it, as it will take you onto a weird path. If my explaining is not clear enough then here's a link.

Rock It level 22.
Obtain A Purple Crystal And A Grey Gem. 

In this level it is pretty much very different. It’s a space one. Where crash has to use a jet pack to fly. So it won’t be so easy. Make sure to look out for the fire beams and dodge a lot too, as well. You need to be careful as there are some boxes near nitros as well. And to get through the next door you should see a scientist blocking your way. Don’t attack when he does his lighting. Only do so when he doesn't. Attack him into the fire door like to open up the next path for you. There is no bonus round on this level. Just find the purple crystal, the grey gem, and find your way out.

Night Fight level 23.
Obtain A Purple Crystal And 2 Grey Gems. 

Ok....this level is very much like totally fly, so you should know what to do. And also there is a no death run on this level. So look out for it. There isn't really much to say about the no death run. You should see it as the road will split. But there is a grey gem there, so collect it and every box on that side before you come to the end of the split path. Watch out and make sure not to die. Pack Attack level 24.
Obtain A Purple Crystall And A Grey Gem.

This is another jet flying level so watch out. You should know who your enemies are. And again there is no bonus round on this level. Just get the crystal and all of the boxes, to get the grey gem. When you have done that go onto the next level which will be your last ever

Spaced Out level 25.
Obtain A Purple Crystal And A Grey Gem.

It’s the same as Piston It Away, so it shouldn't be to hard to figure out. And also there is a special hidden level to do. You know all of the coloured gems? There's a some sort of level just for that. But, like I said this level is only unlocked IF you have claimed all of them. There are no boxes to collect. Just lives and a lot of traps, and stuff let me show you.

So that’s how you get there. What you have to do because it will take you to the end of the level. What you should do is take the grey gem. And do not exit just die. And restart the level. So that you can do it properly and to be able to get other remaining gem and crystal. And this will be your sayounara to this level!

When you arrive back to Warp Room 4. Cortex will talk to you again. And coco will reveal what he is actually doing. And with that, you'll have to face cortex the last boss.

Final Boss N. Cortex

What will happen is that the last battle will take place in space. So you will be using the jet pack. You really need to be careful as many obstacles will be in the way. Such as mines, and so you can easily get hurt. Make sure you dodge them very well. If you do that then you will be able to stay on line with cortex, and to attack him as well. Because he will try to run away from you, make sure that doesn't happen. When you get close, hit cortex three times! And that will be the end of him.

Game End, Credits And Full Ending.

You'll only get the full ending, once you have collected ALL of the grey gems.

The end scene will play coco will ask what will happen to the cortex of vortex that is still within the sky. That’s when you will get warped back again to room 4. N. Brio will contact you this time. He will say that you have gathered all of the gems. You and coco will be teleported to N. Biro's lab. And crash will do the finishing honors of jumping, and activating the machine to destroy cortex's machine. And then the credits will play! But wait....if you wait long enough you, do wonder what happened to cortex. He will start to laugh in the background during the credits. Then you will know that you will have to play crash bandicoot 3.

I did the colours based on how the game is. For the blue, you know crash has blue trousers. So I kind of did that colour....
