Here is an interesting theory. What if Kirby was made by Team Rocket? I know this sounds crazy but let me explain. You might have heard of the ditto/mew theory of how ditto is a failed mew clone, but what if that is the case for Kirby? What if  when team rocket started the experiments, they started experimenting on simple objects, say a poke ball to clone mew. The DNA takes over the poke ball, first beginning with the colouring of pink. Afterwards, it begins to grow life, until in turns into Kirby. Because it has the DNA of mew, it can transform into other objects, and because it was made with a poke ball, it can hold objects much larger than itself. This experiment was feared and was sent to another planet because of the potential of its power. This is just a quick theory, let me know what you think of it. Have a good day

Well, the science teacher in me needs to point out that what you just proposed is not a theory. It is a hypothesis, which is vastly different. A theory is something that has gone through numerous testing that support it, and not a single test has been able to disprove yet. What you gave is your own guess at something.

But I digress, on to the actual point of the thread.

Anyway, I have never really been fond of these things when they try to link franchises together. Especially when there is not even any real comparison between the two worlds. Kirby is it's own goofy little world that is just far too different from the atmosphere of Pokemon. I think those are two things that just shouldn't try to be linked. Especially when Kirby was around WAY before Pokemon, yet this hypothesis says that Kirby originated from Pokemon. If there is going to be a link between these two worlds, I think at least that the older franchise should be the one from which the younger one originated. Not the other way around.

rcarter2 :
Yeah, I forgot about that in science class, I guess it really is a hypothesis, and there is a for year gap between the two games. I was just thinking about how Kirby works, and realised he had some similarities to a poke ball such as they are both small and round, but can contain things larger than themselves. Anyways, thanks for pointing that out, I will try to be more scientifically literate next time, have a good day.

Mattboo64 : Dude... I never thought of that before! What about that one enemy, Tak, that Kirby can swallow to get the "Copy" Ability? Is he a clone of Mew too!? (no pun intended there)
Are all the other enemies in the Kirby series a bunch of failed experiments too? What if King DeDeDe was like, an Empoleon, or something?

DrakPokeMaster :
Now that you mention it, Tac and Mew are both cats, and they are both a little mischief's. Also, in dreamland, there are stars everywhere. On blocks, castles, and even a mode of transport. One of the team rocket mottoes is "To extend our reach to the stars above" Also, Team Rocket gave Mewtwo armor, and Meta Knight is a Kirby with armor.
