I think the Lava and Mountain ideas would be pretty popular, while the forest and desert cities might be more on the unpopular side of things. My recommendation would be to start off with the Sky and Lava cities, at 1/4th the size, and see how people react. If it goes well, then add one or two more. If not, then you haven't wasted a bunch of effort.
