In case you haven't read Pop's guide on this game, take a quick peek. There isn't really much there to know.
This is a guide for the people who want to get better, so I'll stay away from the obvious newbie stuff soon.
Attributes: Water>Pyro>Forest>Earth>Thunder>Water
Fiend>Dreams>Shadow>Light>Fiend
when dealing with opposite Attributes, atk and def points don't matter. The weaker attribute is still defeated regardless of the cards' power.

With that said...
1. Get the best cards!!! I prefer using mainly warrior deck. Cards to be on the look out for in shop are
Dark Flare Knight, Blade Knight, Doron, Toad Master, Ancient Lamp, Mammoth Graveyard, Fiend's Hand, King's Knight, Queen's Knight, Newdoria, Dark Paladin, Vampire Lord, Monsters with strong atk and def

Dark Flare knight can be discarded from your hand/field and it auto summons a MIRAGE KNIGHT to your field. After you end the turn, it disappears, and separates into Dark Magician and Flame Swordsman.

When Doron when activating its FACEDOWN effect, it consumes its turn to create another copy of the card. It's not a strong card, but very helpful early in the game with 900 atk.

Toad Master can be helpful early on in the game. Has 1000 atk and auto summons Frog the Jam when its effect is used. Neither of these two are powerful cards, but are helpful if you need to a tribute next turn. I would not recommend using this card for difficult opponents, though

Ancient Lamp uses a turn to auto summon La Jinn, a strong monster with 1800 atk. Most importantly, Ancient Lamp costs a LOT less just to add it to the deck, so its really a 2-for-1-deal. And La Jinn is still able to attack while Ancient Lamp isn't when you use this effect

Mammoth Graveyard degrades all your opponent's monsters by 1 level as long as its on the field. If you are able to have 3 Mammoth Graveyards, that's 1500 atk and def less that your enemy cards have. This is especially helpful early on. Mammoth graveyard isn't that strong with 1200 atk, and this effect is very time consuming, so be aware.

When Queen's Knight is on the field and you play a King's Knight, you can activate King's effect to auto summon a Jack's Knight, which is stronger than both cards.?

Vampire Lord allows itself to respawn on the field in atk position when it is the VERY LAST card that was sent to your graveyard. At the beginning of your turn, it respawns on your side of the field again. However, if your opponent uses Monster Reborn, then it's deep dooty for you. To make sure that Vampire lord doesn't respawn, you need to destroy it first, then destroy another one of your opponent's monsters. When it's in your hand, you can discard Vampire Lord and have it on your field at the next turn, but you must be careful not to let any monsters of your's be destroyed. I usually just wait a turn defenseless so I get Vampire Lord on my next turn.

When going up against stronger Antagonists, it's important to have 'decoy' cards. Your opponent has a deck Mainly of Fiend, Shadow, Dreams, and traps. Knowing this, be sure to have some weak monsters in your deck. I have 2 of them only; the unhappy maiden and thousand eyes idol. I have these not for atk, but for defense purposes. If I had a unhappy maiden facedown in def mode and the comp attacks with a fiend monster, then that monster is automatically destroyed since light>fiend. Especially the enemy has a really powerful shadow monster, Thousand eyes Idol can auto destroy that card. These two cards though have 0 atk, so it's pretty much a direct attack if hit. They cost very little to add to your deck and are strategically beneficial, at the cost of your life points.

As I said before, I use mainly warrior type monsters because of Dark Flare Knight's effect. I STRONGLY suggest either going with a warrior or a Fiend type based deck, since Yami benefits Magicians and Fiends, and Sogen benefits Warriors and Beast-warriors. The opponents near the end of the game use many monsters that are benefitted by Yami as well, so that's why I have Sogen and warriors in my deck.

When gearing up for a tough battle, grind against Tristan, as his deck is probly the fastest to beat with the weakest monsters. To get more Domino, duel against Yugi or a tough duelist you KNOW you can beat. I prefer Yugi for money since his ante cards are decent priced for low atk points If you're good enough, duel the machine at Kaiba Corp on the second Level. WARNING: When you do this, it's important to have monsters of ALL attributes to deal with the various deck of this machine. Higher Deck Capacity>Excess Wealth. You can gain domino quickly, but it's tedious raising your Deck's Capacity for better cards.

After you have beaten the Paradox Challenge in China,?you must go to the card shop and enter the password 51404976 after recieving the battle mode. Go to Marik and he will give you the unbelievably powerful phoenix mode. IMMEDIATELY add this card to your deck. Whenever this card is sent to the graveyard, even when discarded in hand, it auto summons the original Winged Dragon of Ra to your field. This is one of the best cards, perhaps THE best card in the game, since it IS a God Card.

From my experience beating this game thrice, twice on vizzed, When you duel ANYONE, you have a deck already aligned in a random order. If you face anyone within the same screen, you'll still have that same alignment. If you go to face someone in the next screen, then your deck will be arranged differently. By different screen, I mean if you go duel Yugi, reset the game and from the point before you reset, went to duel Tristan. Go to a different area/screen, then your deck will be arranged differently. This helps ESPECIALLY on vizzed, since you can save and load your location any time. If you go face someone strong, save the game, challenge them. If you have a bad hand, then reload the game, walk to a different part that's out of your original position's view, and challenge him again. YOUR HAND WILL BE DIFFERENT.

This is a minor tip for dueling people like Mako, Mai, Weevil, Rex, people with certain decks. Build a deck that is contradictory to theirs. Weevil uses MAAAANY forest attribute monsters, even his strongest monster is a Forest Attribute. Knowing that, BUILD A DECK MAINLY OF PYRO ATTRIBUTE MONSTERS!!!!!!!!! You get the idea? Create a deck knowing what your opponent prefers.

That is pretty much all the information I have to spare. Those are most of my tips to beating the game on vizzed. If you're not going to record while you're playing, use VBA to play the game, as you can speed up your progress by holding Spacebar. It helps,ALOT.

Enjoy, and I am leaving

port753 : Allow me to kindly edit your post about attribute strengths/weaknesses, as you might've just missed it by accident for all I know: Water>Pyro>Forest>WIND>Earth>Thunder>Water...
The rest of it is accurate. That is all, have a nice day
