Hey guys, Green here with another thread of the Super Smash Bros series. So people wants more newcomer than returning characters. Two characters MUST RETURN in my mind. They are Ness and Jigglypuff. Now I played as Ness only in Brawl. He's a tough fighter, smart PSI kid, he destroyed Gygas too. I like Ness, he's cool so it will make sense if he comes back in SSB4. Now for Jigglypuff, she's so weak! Most of the time, I knock her out in Brawl even though I put the highest difficulty on her. She can float like Kirby. She must return too so I can beat the hell out of her again . What are your thoughts ?

You really hate Jigglypuff and like to beat her up much? Just asking.

I believe the reason why it's not said if they'll come back is that in theory, Sakurai could probably pull another Smash Bros Brawl and not reveal tem until the 3DS version is released because both versions with have the same character roster.

I really love using her in Melee, but I really hated that she was nerfed horribly. Her rest nerf and her combo inability is why she is ranked at 37th on the current tier list. 3rd worst in Brawl, 5th best in Melee, please come back with new rest powers and combos.

Ness, he does have horrible grab range in Melee, being worst grabber in Melee, and his DJC combos on fast fallers and followup moves are amazing. Mofo is the only professional Melee Ness who still plays. I don't know if Hungrybox will main Jiggly in Smash 4, though. I do wish she gets buffed along with all the returning veterans. Lucario got a massive recovery buff based on damage, so why wouldn't Jigglypuff get her old rest attack back or her combo ability? Only haters would think of her sucking just because she's weak. If you know how to use her, she's amazing with 2nd fastest air speed, which is the reason her metagame is so simple in Melee. She spends a lot of time in the air because of said air speed.

Jigglypuff I wouldn't bring back since it's a clone of Kirby in most terms. I don't really care for him, in all honesty. Ness, though, is somewhat cool. But that's me. I use Ness every now and again, while Jigglypuff is nothing but a punching bag. So, yes to Ness, no to Jigglypuff.

TheJmsGamer : I know how to use Jigglypuff. I played as her sometimes in Brawl. But her attacks are weak. I played as her against a level 3 Mario and I lost! I played against others and rarely I win as her. When I play as Luigi, I can easily knock her out. Or with other characters, such as Lucas, Captain Falcon, Kirby, Toon Link and more

Well if yu're a pro she isn't weak, she's actually good to me :3 I can win against 3 level 9 Mario's on Brawl, but not against 3 Level 9 R.O.B.s, that would be OP. Rob is already OP, you know? He's the most OP Character! lol

greenluigi : You do have somewhat of a good point there. If the two of them appeared in the other games (I have only played the original and Brawl), then they would be crazy to keep them out of the game, right? So, with that said, I think they would probably make yet another comeback, in my opinion.

And as far as playing with those characters go, everybody has their strengths and weaknesses. Yeah, Jigglypuff probably has a lot more weaknesses than strengths, but I know that somebody out there likes Jigglypuff. And, in my opinion, Ness is pretty good too if you know how to use him. But like I said, its like that with everybody.

Before I say anything else, I need to say that Ness and Jigglypuff are in the original Super Smash Bros. for N64. The "attendance" crew characters (the originals) have a 100% chance of being in every Smash Bros. game. So that automatically confirms Ness and Jigglypuff. Plus, why wouldn't they have Ness? Jigglypuff has lots of haters (Jiggly is my favorite, all the haters just don't understand why Jiggly is amazing), but Ness has like a bajillion fanboys and fangirls. So...

Ness - Attendance crew, widely loved, never high on the competitive tier list but he's still pretty good for casual play, and he's from a famous Nintendo game.

Jigglypuff - Attendance crew, both loved and hated, was high on the tier list in Melee but not really in any of the other games, an iconic Pokemon mascot for the Smash Bros. series along with Pikachu.

You are wrong on many levels.

Completely different special moveset
Completely different dash attack
Completely different tilt attacks
Mostly different aerial attacks

The only thing they have alike is the fact that they have multiple jumps, there is nothing else. Not even their stats are the same.

I agree with Faded, both of them are from the original so it wouldn't make any sense to just take them both out all of the sudden. Even if Ness is the only Earthbound character, I don't think they will leave him out of the new game. The same goes for Jigglypuff, even though she was lousy in brawl, she is still one of the original characters, so it is pretty much a given that she will be in the next game. 

Kirby and Jigglypuff are nowhere near alike as far as move sets go, they have a similar recovery that allows them to jump/hop several times in the air, but that's about where the similarities end. Hopefully if Jigglypuff does come back she will be good like she was in melee because most of her moves aren't very reliable for combos, plus her rest move use to KO at low percents in melee, and in Brawl it only KOs at about 40 to 50% . The only thing Jiggly still has going for her is her aerial game which is still pretty good. 

Hopefully if they do come back they will be better overall and see more competitive use than before. You never know with Sakurai.....

Well, they're back. Confirmed. They both feel weird to me, Ness's sounds make me feel bad for attacking a child, and Jiggly is like C-tier. Have fun beating her up...
