Hi
In case anyone hasn't heard of it, Glastonbury is a huge festival held on a farm in England every year since the 70's ( I believe they missed a couple of years)
There are thirty nine separate stages entire fields given over to arts, dance, circus, environmental issues and a children's field

This year's festival did not start as planned but it did start with a bang!
There was a heavy thunderstorm and the lightning caused power to be lost from all the stages
They managed to get everything going again (including the live coverage 15 minutes before they were due to air!)

There is extensive coverage of the six main stages, much of it live

Tonight I watched Rudimental (with a guest spot from Ed Sheeran), Haim, Lily Allen, Blondie, Paulo Nutini, Rodrigo Y Gabriela, Metronomy, M.I.A. Jungle, John Newman, Lykke Li, Foster The People, Interpol, Elbow, Kaiser Chiefs and Arcade Fire

The Arcade Fire show was amazing, their outfits and the light show, incredible
If anyone is interested I will find a youtube link for it

Anyway, that was part of the Friday night line up

Tomorrow (Saturday), I am looking forward to seeing (among others) Goldfrapp, Bryan Ferry, MGMT, Mogwai, Manic Street Preachers, Pixies, Jake Bugg (I have a feeling Noel Gallagher might make a guest appearance on stage with him), Robert Plant (from Led Zeppelin), Jack White (again I have a feeling Dolly Parton might help Jack sing Jolene) and Metallica! m/

From Sunday's line up I am looking forward to seeing (among others) Yoko Ono Plastic Ono Band (yes the one that had John Lennon in!), Massive Attack, The Wailers (yes, Bob Marley's Wailers but without Bob unfortunately), White Lies, The Horrors, Bombay Bicycle Club, Dolly Parton, The Black Keys and Kasabian

Is anyone watching this or is actually there?

Imagine if you were there, who would you like to watch?

I'm actually going to two local music festivals on Saturday and Sunday both of which finish early enough for me to watch the World Cup then watch the coverage of Glastonbury Festival afterwards (I will also try to watch some Wimbledon live too)

Busy weekend

Thoughts, opinions, reactions, questions, all are welcome

It sounds like a giant music festival... If I only I could have been there. I wonder if they had any Dubstep. Do you know if Skrillex or Deadmau5 or anybody showed up, dubstep genre wise?
