Elder Scrolls - I mainly played Oblivion. Pretty generic RPG with forgettable plot, and no deep or interesting characters, and boring gameplay. Tons of dungeons to explore, but all of them look exactly the same and have the same useless items. Other than the graphics and a few fun missions this game doesn't have much going for it.
Grand Theft Auto series - Gameplay is pretty mindless and while there's a lot of stuff to do - none of it's very interesting. I'd rather have a linear game with strong core gameplay than an open-ended game with tons fluffy content. Why would I want to go on virtual dates, or play tennis in a game called "Grand Theft Auto" anyway? Oh and in spite of having tons of controversies, most of the games aren't even that graphically violent, and it's done in such a cartoony way that you can't take it seriously . There are cutscenes in the Metal Gear Solid games which have more explicit violence.
The Sims - This one just makes me depressed. These games just make me think they were made for a 40 year old man who still lives with his mom who wants to pretend to have a girlfriend on his computer - what's the point of these games existing anyway? For people who want to stare creepily at their computer screen while 2 polygons have sex? lol
Sonic the Hedgehog (entire series) - Not just the crappy 3D games - even though I grew up with Sonic and the series has some nostalgic value to me, in retrospect the entire series was more of a "1 trick pony" with the speed and slick artwork being the only unique theme about the game. As an adult most of the Sonic games are so easy that it's hard to play bad enough to actually die - while the old school Mario games still have enough of a challenge to hold an adult's interest.
Pokemon Red/Blue - Sure there are 100s of creatures to collect and battle, but. This might have been revolutionary for its day and age, but beyond the novelty of collecting them all, it's pretty bland when it comes to core RPG elements. Generic plot and characters, ridiculously easy gameplay, terrible enemy AI, etc - all you need to know to win any battle is to match up the correct pokemon type, and even the "bosses" prove no challenge at all.
I can't see how it remained to be so popular - if it hadn't been the first full fledged RPG for the Game Boy I doubt many people would even remember it today. There were probably Japanese RPGs like Final Fantasy that came before it which had a lot more depth.
GoldenEye 007 - For it's day and age it was revolutionary as a FPS, but as a modern game it's just just very dated doesn't hold up. Other old school games like Super Mario World still age pretty well, but GoldenEye is pretty primitive if judged as a stand-alone game. It's more like a Ford Model T than a Ford Mustang.
