Pok?mon Red and Blue are the first Pok?mon games. Pok?mon is a series where you battle creatures with your own creatures. In Pok?mon Red and Blue, you are an eleven year old boy from Pallet Town named Red and Professor Oak wants to see you. You try to go out without a Pok?mon and the legendary professor appears and gives you a starter. After this you go on a journey to get all the 8 gym badges and beat the Elite Four.
Graphics
These are the standard of Game Boy Graphics. Although.. some back sprites for Pok?mon look horrible like Vaporeon, Venusaur and many others. Although a great game, the graphics are average. Poke Centers and Marts are just square buildings with the word "Poke" for the center or "Mart" for the Mart. It's not that bad though as many other Pok?mon games do this. Great game, average graphics. I give this a 7.
Sound
The music is "music" to my ears, because the music composer did a really good job with the music. There is Route Music and Town Music. My favorite music are Trainer Battle and Champion battle. The field music is happy while the battle music gives you adrenaline and makes you ready for battling. For sound I give a 10.
Addictiveness
Pok?mon Red is a really addicting game with many trainers you can fight. It makes you go like "just one more battle and I'll level up". Since the max level is 100, it takes a while to level up and fans love to grind in the tall grass. There are many towns and places you can go. There are also the legendaries Zapdos, Articuno, Moltres and Mewtwo. The only bad thing is you can't find Mew. I give this a 9.
Story
This is a well done story reused in other Pok?mon games. The story is your a kid from Pallet Town who was chosen to get a Pok?mon by Professor Oak. You go on a long journey to Catch em all! Catch all 150 (151 if you count Mew) Pok?mon. You fight the 8 gym leaders and then go to the Pok?mon League to fight the Elite Four and then beat the champion... I give this a 10.
Depth
Pok?mon Red usually takes from 3 hours (if your doing a world record run) to a few days (if you take your time), on average this is about a 8-10 hour game. This has many towns, trainers, moves, obstacles, legendary Pok?mon and more! There is also Team Rocket which you can take down. There is also Lavender Town, the town of death! This gets an 8.
Difficulty
The game is average in difficulty, but a little bit difficult as you need to train Pok?mon before fighting gyms. There is also the Elite Four. The Champion has level 60s-70s so you need to train a bit more. There are also mazes and caves. I give this a 6.
Overall I think this was a very well done game and after all, It got so popular that It became a series. This is the end of my review and I hope you liked it so leave a reply and tell me what you think. Next review might be of Pok?mon Diamond II.
