this game was an awesome game when i was little-er if you remember the black gameboy from my last review yea that same part.the graphics are preatty good for a gameboy game, addictive music little themes i like , its pretty addictive not sure how to explain it more than that ,there was barely any story at all i cut it some slack from the letters you get every world you beat ,the game is pretty long but i never got the expansion pack code for the gba version i never knew what they did , it was a very very hard game at times espicaily if u use the double flute trick.the overal game itself is wonderful thats the end of my review, i respect the classics and this is one of them -kb

This game is the second best mario game of all time in my opinion my first favorite is super mario world. Super mario bros 3 is great the graphics are pretty good for its time they weren't great though. but nevermind the graphics I play games for the fun. This game is very creative and colorful. the music goes good with the levels and the amount of levels there are to explore. even if you think you found all the secrets in smb3 there might be some really hidden ones you left behind.I know you can't go back to levels to get that whistle you missed or that secret power up you always find in common. I see that as a good thing. Why? because that's what makes the game replayable and want to go back  to levels you have to go through all the levels you did before you got to that level. another thing i find good about this is in 1-2 there is a 1 up trick. If you were running out of lives you could just do it over and over again untill you could have basically infinite lives. Like every mario game someone gets kidnapped. But this is a little bit different because the king gets turned into a animal or something for the first 7 worlds and mario has to find a wand and turn him back to normal. At the end is where you save toadstool. I thought that was cool then just the princess gets kidnapped and you save her and thats the story from beginning to end and the enemy is always bowser and he does the same moves always. In this game its a little different because bowser tried to crush you and to defeat him you have to make a way with his smashings to a hole so he could fall. that was pretty creative of nintendo i thought. But after super mario worldd all mario platformers were the same with bowser as they were in the first mario game. This is probably my favorite game on the NES because its challenging but not so challenging that its for experts its just the right level to make you start over the level a couple of time and have fun. If i would of rate this game I would rate it a 9.8/10
