Last VCS was so barren that there were days that posting 7 times would give top 10 spots.

Not many knew of it, and some people in the top 10 didnt even know of their participation.

It was also won 18 days in or something.

I hope for more competition this time though.

Didn't David say that he was going to make sure that the VCS thread was put in General Chat from now on? I remember him saying that when I asked where to put the CP VCS thread. He told me that the TdV and CP VCS go in General Chat and that the VCS will from then on.

Well if this one is anything like the last VCS was, then post 10 times and you're pretty much guaranteed points. I don't mind monthly competitions, but when every competition is either so boring that people have total apathy towards it or people do anything they possibly can to score a few points, that's when I'm not too big of a supporter of these competitions. Furthermore, those 11:50 PM posters who post late to try and beat the other competitors with like 25 posts in 10 minutes really suck some of the fun out of competing (before people jump on this comment, I am guilty of doing this as well). What's the point in trying to get points if you have to come on an hour before the competition ends and making 99% of your posts then to try and get some points? If it's more balanced (like 90% coming from the day and maybe a couple of posts late at night to deal the deal), then it'd probably be better.

Basically, I just wish that people would be inbetween total apathy towards a competition and prioritizing a competition before anything else.

And despite the fact that noone will care, no, I do not plan on participating in this VCS.

I seem to always enjoy the users scurry for the threads, while they bump up everything. It's the original competition that matters to me, beside the "fun" spam-fests in the other months. I might go for being a 3 time champ.

I had completely forgotten about this, vcs competitions back to back are truly exhausting, but I still might compete though because my post count average is depleting rapidly and I think it is really about time I reach 5,000 once and for all, so I am going to start posting more. I don't really know what to expect from this competition as far as activity goes, but I am still going to give it my best and hope to get a few points whenever I possibly can! My goal is to finish at least in the top 5. I think from now on I will be competing in the VCS instead of the TDV because there are less spammers :p

It looks like this won't be a very competitive VCS this year. Not alot of post needed to score apparently.
