So we've all had those moments in video games where after hours/days/years of struggling and button pushing we manage to pull off a massive victory. So like the title implies, what was your proudest moment/greatest accomplishment as a gamer?

For me it would have to be when I finally finished Kingdom Hearts II on proud mode. It took an absolute AGE to finally beat that game. I spent days watching tutorials and fighting Heartless again and again and again and again and-- well, I think you get my point. Any who, when I finally beat Xemnas I distinctly remember jumping up and down and hugging the closest thing to me (which happened to be my very startled cat).

Also, this thread making thing is still a bit new, so if I'm in the wrong section or repeating something here, it'd be nice to know .

Boy, to think of all the incredible gaming moments I've experienced in the last 25-30 years!

I can think of two gaming moments that are really special to me.

The first was back when the original Nintendo Entertainment System was a "current" gaming system.  I remember playing the original Final Fantasy over and over again, using different combinations of characters to force myself to play the game in different ways or to make things more difficult for myself.  Possibly the most difficult play through I remember having was with four White Mage characters.  I really struggled at times, but when I finally beat the game, I felt incredible, like I could overcome ANYTHING after doing that!

The second was just a few months ago.  I was looking to 100% Fallout: New Vegas for the xbox 360, and all I needed was the "Hardcore" playthrough to finish things up.  So I took some time to figure out what the quickest way through the game was, and took some time mapping out the shortest (Safe) distances between key locations.  With a social character (Relying almost exclusively on charisma and speech checks) I was able to make a hardcore playthrough of the game in roughly 6 hours, start-to-finish.  (I learned later that someone had found a similar method to get though the game in about 2/3 of that time.)  It was an almost surreal experience to beat the game so quickly after my first couple of playthroughs had netted me +120 hours of game time, each.

*NOTE*  From personal experience, hugging startled cats can be DANGEROUS!

One of my proudest moments(which I really shouldn't be proud of, considering its easiness) in video gaming would be defeating Mother Brain on Super Metroid at age 8. Yet again, it is really easy, but I was the first one of my friends to complete(even play) a retro game. My friends today think that CoD is the best series ever, and the PS4 is better than the SNES because of the graphics. I guess they'll never know. Anyway, I spent hours on that game. Many of them spent in Meridia. And then to finally defeat Mother Brain...it is emotionally moving the first time you see her destroy Baby. And I was proud to be the only one in my group of friends to ever feel that in a video game.
