Me and Zanderalex were thinking about guess, not quite the correct answer but it was close (air). I said someone could risk a guess and get it right before us but it would be quite unlikely... WELL JUST LOOK WHAT HAPPENED HERE THEN!
I guess it was quite fun hunting, I only managed to find that comment on Pokemon Aqua Marine yet I think either Zanderlex or Chewedmint had already shared it.

tgags123 : You don't have to do another one just for fun. We could keep it competitive, I could donate Viz for the prize. Though I would not expect the next round to be featured on that champions thread (never seen it so the name is probably wrong).

Alright here are all of the hints that I revealed, their location, and what they mean.

"It's elementary, my dear Watson." Popeye116 actually came up with this clever hint, so I thank him for that. I said this in Chat. The hint is hidden in the wording. Elementary. ELEMENTary. Element. Oxygen is an element. I think CMAP was the only team to find this hint, but I could be wrong.

The blank comment on my own profile. It was blank, so it was invisible. Just like oxygen.

"It can fly higher than a Ho-oh and dig deeper than a Sandshrew." This hint was in a game comment on Pokemon Aquamarine. Oxygen is everywhere, so it can be higher than a Ho-oh and deeper than a Sandshrew.

There was a picture of a plant in my signature in a post in this thread. Plants make oxygen.

"You can get it for free." I put this in a post in the Throw a Random Object at the User Below You thread. Obviously oxygen is free, we breathe it all the time.

"Plants". I put this hint in the Pokemon Aquamarine chat. Again, plants make oxygen.

"Chances are, you don't think about this very often." in Chat. Pretty self explanatory, I don't know anyone that thinks about oxygen.

"48286". This was a free hint that I gave away in this thread. If you could figure it out, this probably would have given you the answer. I think Barathemos figured it out and that is why his team won. 48286 is the ID number of a thread here on Vizzed. Go ahead, try it. Where it says "id=" in the URL, put that number in instead of the current one. Where does it bring you? To a thread about oxygen masks.

Those were all of the hints that I gave out, but I had a lot more that I planned on saying. Here are some of them:

"You can get it at a bar." They have oxygen bars where you can breathe in pure oxygen.

I was going to put a periodic table somewhere. Oxygen is an element.

"If you don't have enough of this you won't be able to figure out the answer!" Our brains need oxygen.

"It is responsible for the colors of something very divine." This hint requires some Vizzed knowledge to figure out. The thing that is very divine is an aurora. Get it? Divine Aurora? Anyway, oxygen is the reason that auroras are colorful.

I had a ton more ready to go, but I do not want to list all of them.

That was really quick. Too quick, actually. 

And I thought that the hints were a little complicated to figure out, but my brain's been drunk the past few days, so what do I know. But hey, everyone put in a load of work, except my brain, so very nice job guys.

On Tuesday, since we thought it was air, I was thinking about going up to a random contestant and saying in their comments.
"How are you doing with the hunt? We are so close to the answer, we can practically breath it."

Yeah... This sucks... We we're so close too... But there's always next year. I've all ready got a name for our team. Can't wait til next year, This was a great idea.

Man, I was totally stuck on thinking air until 48286, and I spent too much time using phones and alphabet placement to decipher it.... never would have thought, congratulations to those who understood. I can not wait until the next one. I WILL win that one!

I am glad to see that everyone enjoyed it. Maybe we can get even more people to participate in February. Again, I apologize that it was so short. You guys are just too smart for me! I will make the hints even tougher to decider next time. Thanks to everyone that participated!
