I completely forgot about All-Star weekend (not that I have a TV to watch it on anyway), burin sure it was a great event. Can't wait to watch the All-Star game on a neighbors TV (just woke up so I probably missed some of it). Should be a good game.

The game was fun already, i was on the court during the anthem and the opening by Christina Auguikirea, as well as the player intos. Got high fives from Bosh and James.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Derrick Rose is injured yet again.

f*** our luck.

Always next year, I guess. It's not that we're bad without Rose. We've been like .600 the past couple of seasons when he's out, but that's a good 100 percentage points lower than we are with him.

Guess you can more or less hand the Eastern crown to the Cavs. They've been getting better, their top threat is now snakebitten, and I don't think the Hawks will look like they did a month ago again this year.

Only question is if the Warriors or another West team can rise to the occasion.

Despite being the 8th seed, I still think the Thunder can make it to the Conference Finals. They're 4-5 wins away from claiming that 7th seed. If the Thunder do get the 7th seed, they'll be up against the Memphis Grizzlies, who they managed to beat last year. Sure, Zach Randolph was out for the 7th game. But the way Russell Westbrook has been playing is terrific. What was it, 7 triple-doubles in the last 10 games? That's amazing. I hope it happens, but there's a chance it may not, considering how Dallas and San Antonio have been playing.

starwars293 : Do you think they can beat the Warriors? Because that's who they are going to be facing. There's no way OKC will make up 4-5 games with only 10 left. I can't see anyone beating the Warriors in a 7 game series. They would have to win at least one, probably more than one game in Oakland, where Golden State is 34-2 this year. That isn't happening.

The season's almost over, and it's a very tight race for the final 2 playoff spots between Miami, Brooklyn, Boston, Charlotte, and Indiana. I hope the Celtics can get one of those two spots, but they have to win a couple of key games in the final 2 weeks (like tonight in Charlotte or Wednesday hosting the Pacers).

As for the Thunder v Warriors, if the Thunder had a healthy Durant to help them out against the Warriors, then first off they wouldn't be fighting for the 8th seed. Even so, the Thunder could steal one in Oakland if KD was there. But without him, I don't think the Thunder have any chance of winning. Westbrook, regardless of how much of a beast he is, can't single-handedly carry the team past the Warriors, especially when he's going up against arguably the best PG in the league right now. Should OKC and GS face each other, barring major injuries, I could see the Warriors winning in 5 or 6 right now.

Congratulations to Steve Kerr of the Golden State Warriors. Still a few games to go in the season and he has already broken the record for most wins by a rookie head coach. He currently has 63 wins while Paul Westpaul and Tom Thibodeau managed to notch up 62 wins in their rookie seasons.

wow, what a season for the Atlanta hawks and the golden state warriors. Who thought they would be number one in their conferences? I would expect golden state to be the four see and the hawks to be the three seed. Who saw the wipeout when the hawks defeated Brooklyn 130-99 last night? That explains how the hawks have improved since last year they were the eighth seed. Golden state were amazing and for a rookie coach that there has to be more potential in further years for golden state. There's almost no way okc could beat gs in the first round. I'm looking forward for the seedings of the playoffs.

Black Bot : I watched every second ( almost ) of that Hawks/Nets game last night, and I predicted such a blow out. The reason for that is, if the Hawks can beat the Nets when they play them again soon, they'll more than likely knock the Nets out of the playoffs AND the Hawks get the Nets' lottery pick ( I believe it was part of that Joe Johnson trade ). And I'll wager, barring injuries or resting starters, that they'll blow the Nets out again, because its really the only meaningful game left on the Hawks' schedule. It'd be nice if the Hawks win the championship AND get one of the top picks in the draft. Highly unlikely, but that would be awesome!

This year is the most that I've ever watched the NBA by far, and its in part because of this magical season the Hawks are having. You just can't not watch them! I won't be surprised if they can make the Finals.

MattyIce : Yeah, that would be very nice since I live very near the Atlanta metro area.  Smart trade by the hawks awhile ago, and maybe it is possible to knock the nets into the 10th seed. Definently don't want them in the playoffs. But for some reason, I think there is a very high chance golden state will beat the hawks 4-2 in the finals. Golden state has a lot of weapons you know. But to make it to the conference finals at least is a very big milestone. I am also interested how the Bulls place in the playoffs. If they get the number five seed, they are probably dead by the wizards 4-2. There are many opportunities so I'll stay tuned into this conversation.

Black Bot : Well, the Hawks will probably have to get by Cleveland if they want to go to the Finals. That's why I think it'll be an accomplishment if the Hawks just get to the Finals...they don't necessarily have to win it. My prediction is they'll face the Heat in the 1st round, Wizards in the 2nd round, Bulls in the semis, and the Cavs in the Eastern Finals.

And frankly although the Warriors do look unstoppable, I'm still not sold on them making it out of the West yet. I do like their playmaking abilities, but they have a lot of inexperience as far as the playoffs go, PLUS they have a rookie coach. I don't watch basketball much, but every time I do it seems the Spurs are always there at the end. In my opinion, don't be surprised if the Spurs or maybe even the Rockets make the Finals. If the Thunder keep the 8 seed and if they were 100% healthy, I'll bet they'll give the Warriors all they can handle.

in the case of role reversals continuing, the Clippers have swept the Lakers for the second time in three seasons. When you look in the dictionary for examples of hell freezing over, you will find this as being a pure example. Clippers still have yet to win a championship but the regular season, they are the ones in charge between the two LA teams. Warriors just lost twice in a row. They better hope that the Spurs hold onto that 6 seed because 4 or 5 and there will be trouble for the Warriors if they face the Spurs.

I would love to see the Pacers jump into the 7th seed and beat Cleveland. They have done well against them all year and now that Paul George is back all teams need to watch out.

Stephen Curry just broke his own record for 3s made this season and he still got a few games to spare to add on to that record.

magimangr : pacers won four straight. Waitwut?
Yeah it happened, hopefully pacers would knock Brooklyn out of the playoffs so it would help the hawks get a better draft pick. This is rather interesting. Pelicans and thunder are also tied for eighth in the western conference. It would be cool in the playoffs. Hawks vs nets? Hawks vs pacers would be kind of interesting, a rematch of last year but with different seeds.

And just like that, Spurs are riding on a 10 game winning streak to make a push for the rankings and the matchups keep changing. They do so by beating some quality teams to show that they are capable of beating anyone in this league during this time of the year. They are probably not concerned about what seed they will be in, but more on who they are playing. To add to many of the late season injuries that are happening, it seems that the Spurs are at their best and healthy for another championship run. My only hope is that they stay healthy for just a couple more months, and they will be able to take on anyone. #GoSpursGo

To continue on with team fanodm, the Celtics got a nice win against cleveland (two wins in fact), an d have all but secured one of the final two playoff berths. They're one win (or one Indiana loss) away form clinching a playoff berth and I love the effort that the Celtics have put forth to show that they're still relevant despite having lost their Big 4.

Dang! Spurs lost Game in L.A. I still say Spurs in Six.

I think the Spurs will steal game 2, win games 3 and 4 at home, lose game 5 at Staples, and win game 6 at home.

Welp, OKC just fired Scott Brooks. I don't understand some of these coaching decisions. The reason why this season failed for OKC was because they were filled with injuries, with Kevin Durant being their best player being out due to injury. They were just one game away from getting back into the playoffs, and this is only the first failed season for OKC since Brooks become coach. The front office, players, and coaches seem to have good relationships with each other as well, so I really don't understand the reasoning behind the firing.
