We're not expecting them to be infallable, We expect them to be the government they claim to be.

Geeo, I don't really think what we're saying are impossible expectations here. You're trying to frame the goverrnment as some southern belle damsel in distress "Oh deary me, I was so overwhelmed with all the people asking for things from me, that I started a war on a lie that I knew was baseless!" When your government wants to start a war another country over weapons, the weapons better be there when you get there. People died. Both Americans and Iraqis. On a lie. And i highly doubt there will be a draft. My dad is a military guy and he knows there wont be one. It all depends on how much fear you want to live in.

With the constant of alert and terrorists threats and then telling us to be calm, it's hard for the general population of the united states to understand what's going on with these mixed signals.

But as I've said. -IF- it happens, I'm out of here. My mom has allready agreed to send me out of the country if it happens.

Nasus: I'm sure that WMD's were -not- the only reason they went into Iraq.... there are a dozen reasons, good or not, that they went in, not just WMD's....

The entire is much worse off now that the US in Iraq than when Saddam ruled it. Not only is the US worse off but the PEOPLE of Iraq are worse off..

Another thing they seem to like to say is that Osama and Saddam were closely connected, FALSE.

We didn't start to spout off the whole 'liberating iraq' bulls*** untill after we invaded, Which is... FALSE.

So i suppose that Al quida had NOTHING to do with iraq? Al quida found their way into Pakistan, Afganistan, Syria, Florida, Iran, The Phillipeans, England, France, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Yemen.... ALL MOST EVERY OTHER COUNTRY IN THE WORLD. But some how those crazy terrorists missed Iraq? I think not. So there Al quida had ties to Iraq. There is also some stuff out there that talks about ties to Saddam. Ummmmm and yes we all knew Saddam was a cruel bastard before we busted in there and found the hundreds of thousands of dead bodies in mass graves. Really, any way you want to cut it, there were more reasons then the WMD, the WMD was just the focal point.

Al Queda was in AMERICA and made use of our technology and resources, I guess Germany should bomb us, eh?

Or maybe we need to bomb Canada?

There's more evidence to show that Osama and Saddam tried to persue a partnetship in the mid-80's and they very big idealogical differences and that was disbanded.

The US has more ties to Saddam and Iraq than Al Queda.

Your missing the point. The point is that the government is indeed not infallable. And therefore they are not always right when they say something.

Nobody is bullet proof. Sometimes people just forget that our goverment is only made of humans. Who like all others make mistakes. I don't believe the War in Iraq was a mistake.... but i do believe he has made a few. Unlike some of my counter parts on this board i do not staunchly do everything conservative(or for my cause). And everything i say doesn't have to only be said to try to shut down my opponet. I've just noticed that..... some one on this board just never backs down on anything. Weather they are right or wrong

Well John, it's your opinion that this 'person' is wrong.

Which may or may not be the truth. So in respect you refuse to back down from that point. Thus making you just as quiality as this 'person'.

John, how can Jin possibly "back down" on this issue, one that I presented, when there has been no plausable evidence to the contrary besides THE GOVERNMENT SAID SO. You have destroyed your own point by saying that they are not right on everything. Jin is a perfectly good moderator and has not abused his power in the slightest in my opinion. You are very good at turning good threads into personal attacks.

Nasus, You're about the third or fourth person to come to my aid when John goes on one of his "Jin is a horrible moderator and a horrible debater" rampages. Makes you wonder what grounds he has for saying such things.

Acctually i have the only evidance on the whole draft issue. Since the GOVERMENT instates the draft, they would know.

And really i wasn't so much talking about this issue, but rather every issue.

Back to the original point at hand, I think it was a great thing of them kicking that recruiter out.

People need to start standing up for what they believe.
