I'm not an irate gamer, in general, but there are a few game that get me really frustrated.  My favorite of these is Super Meat Boy.  The game is insanely difficult, but never unfairly difficult.  When you fail, it's your fault, not because of a glitch or problem with the game.  So many times, I've felt like throwing my controller at the screen in frustration, only to withhold myself, thankfully.

Are there any games that get you really frustrated, or that you're just plain bad at?

Let's say this: Street Fighter II was the nightmare of my life. I was always bad at the game. I could never beat anybody unless I was playing against a friend. Yet, I still bought the game and I still own it due to its value...

I wonder if a Sonic hack counts... So anyways, one sonic hack that really made me almost rage quit at it was "Sonic the hedgehog- OMG the red rings". It is a very hard game that you will instantly die if you go near a red ring. And those red rings are everywhere. XD

Oh god, If there is one video game that I feel like screaming about, It would have to be Jak 2 for the PlayStation 2! This nightmarish game has forever haunted me in my sleep as one of the hardest games I have ever played on the PS2! Here are some missions that make me scream, The first Is the docks mission, Here jak grabs a seal piece from the docks, Then the whole entire city goes after you and traps you in a big maze of a level with tons of guards shooting at you! Another hard level is the cruisers missions, Here you have to destroy 5 of these armored vechiles, and each time you destroy one, The whole entire city goes after you and tries to roast you down! You must have serious guts to complete this whole game, I know you can!

RedHotToddy : I never had a PS2, and few of my friends had PS2s, so I probably won't get to experience that game for a while.  Right now I'm trying to save up for the Steam Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales.  Have you tried Daxter for the PSP?  I saw that it got really good reviews.  If you haven't tried it, it's in a combo pack with another game for cheap on Amazon right now.

Um...I don't really remember rage quitting in a game at all...when I am mad at a game, I just turn it off and either play something else or just walk away.

Rage quit? I've done it for Yoshi's Island DS a few times. And for multiple reasons. There were some bonus stages that were nearly impossible to beat that I ended up rage quitting. Then, I was trying to get 100 points on some stages, but failed many, MANY times. And the last one happened when trying to recreate a glitch I found. I tried it for about 1 hour, but could never do it.

A lot of the pokemon games i play...i always want to rage quit...when im defeated..but i stopped becuase...you know. Whats the point rage quiting if you could just try again.

I was playing Soul Calibur 2 a couple days ago for the first time in a long time. I was doing one player mode and I made it up to a point where there was one or two levels I couldn't beat. I tried so many times, but it got to a point where I just rage quit and I haven't played it since lol.

Ninja Baseball Batman is one of them! It is a beat em' up that is really hard!

Mega Man X, no contest, I've literally never beat Sigma(the last boss) in my entire life, I got to the end when I was a child, thousands of rage quits, more than a freaking decade later I've gotten to sigma here on vizzed, and the rage quitting continues. Epic rage quit.

Game you've felt like rage quitting the most at? That title would go to Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 for the PS2. Might seem a bit weird, but the reason is that the controls are very hard to grasp and even harder to master, so it took me a while in the training part to know the basic combos. The story mode is really hard, even at easy difficulty. some fights are almost impossible to do, but they either give out a really rare item/a "what if" scenario or something like that, and since I always try to get 100% in a game, I keep on fighting until I win, and that can take a while. It is a very fun game, the controls are just hard to learn/master.

I really got irritated when I was trying to get the Hyrulean Shield in hard mode in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. It took me a few days to finally get it, after figuring out the perfect strategy for each boss that I had to fight. When I finally beat it, I had only lost one heart after the whole thing, because I had figured out when and what the bosses would do, so I was able to avoid almost all of their attacks.

Hmm, very interesting...

The game I have left the most from rage-quitting is called Plazma Burst 2. It was very lagged but not only for me, for all the existing players!

Now, I don't play this game anymore. Curretly, I play NES games multiplayer with my friends. I won't post the site because I could violate the rules and be suspended...

I can't really Choose just a Single game. I have a bad habit: Were I come so close to beating a boss or a game it's self, Then Something odd happens and messes me up.. I seriously Get to the point were I just wanna drop it, but on the bright side: I don't get too angry were I wanna throw my controller.

The lion king for Sega genesis and Super Nintendo. I mean why did they put enemies in such STUPID spots? Why?! They just keep popping up and popping up! AND POPPING UP!!! ARGHHH

And then there is the Stampede level in that game. They make this one so hards, you'll be wanting to ragequit in 5 seconds. They put rocks in stupid places and the weird animal things hurt like crazy when they trample you.

Hakuna matada. This level is so freaking impossible I nearly broke my controller. First you gotta go up a waterfall by jumping on hanging platform things forward AND backwards, then you get tackled by a spider, or a frog spits on you. And THEN you finally make it to the waterfall. You have to hop UP logs going DOWN. How freaking stupid is that?!?!?! If you eventually manage to beat that, You have to fight a gorilla. Which is nearly impossible to hit, and you gotta do it continuously Until he moves. And then RINSE AND REPEAT! I died so many times. I've ragequitted that game about 13 times. UGHHH.
