LADYS AND GENTLEMEN HOUSE PETS...anything else anyway welcome to the 20th day of awesome month and today i am going to look at one of my favorite pokemon ARON anyway let me tell you why i like this thing anyway

I like this pokemon because its by far the greatest defensive pokemon in gen 3...once its evolved at least so...nothing else i can say lets get to it

MOVESET

At the start we get scratch and harden...its all we got so...its not like you have a choice

at level 4 we get mud slap this ground type move has a base damage of 20 and has 100% accuracy also it lowers the targets stat by 1 stage...somewhat useful but i dont like it still were forced to take it anyway

at level 8 we get headbutt a normal type move with a base damage of 70 and 100% accuracy..take it

Now at level 11 we get metal claw this move has a base damage of 55 and has 95% accuracy also this move has a 10% chance of raising the users stat by 1 stage..meh

OKAY at level 15 we get such a good move known as iron defense this move raises the users defense by 2 stages

at level 18 we get roar...no...no

at level 22 we get take down this normal type move has a base damage of 90 and has a base damage of 85 also the user takes 25% of that damage this is a good move take it but use it sparingly

at level 25 we get iron head this iron type move has a base damage of 80 and has 100% accuracy also this move has a 30% chance of making the target flinch this is a good move so take it if you want

at level 29 we get protect...meh take it if you want but i dont like it

Now at level 32 we get metal sound...pfft

alright also at level 32 are training will start to pay off because we get lairon and now we get a decent boost in stats anyway lets move on

Now at level 40 we get iron tail this iron type move has a base damage of 100 and has 75% accuracy and also has a 10% chance of lowering the targets defense...this is okay but i prefer accuracy over power so get it if you want but i dont like it

FINALLY AT LEVEL 42 ALL OUR TRAINING IS PAID OFF BECAUSE WE HAVE AGGRON BASK IN ITS GLORY

At level 48 we get automize....meh i dont like it but use it if you want

Now at level 57 we get heavy slam this moves damage depends on the users weight...i..dont know either but still this guy weighs alot so take it

At level 65 we get double edge this move is nothing but a better version of take down it has a base damage of 120 and has 100% accuracy...oh you think your getting away with that pfft the user of this move also takes 50% of the damage the target take...bummer but this is a great move but please for the love of god use it sparingly

NOW at level 74 we get metal burst...ugh...okay this is yet another time where i have to say this...i dont know how this move works i really dont all i know is that its damage is random and it hits multiple pokemon in double battles...sorry...jeesh

STATS

Okay this is yet another pokemon that puts nearly all its stats into 1 or 2 moves and i have come to realize that those stats are not technically bad...its just weird its almost like movies technically there are no good or bad movies it all depends on how you feel about it so the same thing applies here so i think that those kind of stats SUCK...well...kind of....okay lets get this over with this pokemons first stat is its health at 70 which is okay its not the best but screw it its not the worst right...? next is its attack at 110 which is perfect that will help you out so much because this pokemon only has 2 special attacks in this moveset and as most of use know i love pokemon that have stats that compliment there moveset, next we have its highest stats its defens-HOLY CRAP THAT IS A BIG STAT this pokemons highest stat is its defense at 180..that is extremely powerful but beware just because those are  good stats does not mean all its other stats are good...oh you guys are going to be pissed...and i cant wait....this pokemons 2nd lowest stats are its special defense and special attack at 60 and that sucks...NO IT DOES NOT ARE YOU INSANE of course it may seem like it sucks but your misunderstanding our situation this pokemon highest stat is its defense and its obvious that these 2 stats had to suffer but its no problem at all because those stats would be pointless anyway just look at the moveset its all physical attack moves, really these stats are more useful because they had to suffer its nothing but a trade off, and finally its last and lowest stat is its speed at 50...eh this guy is more defensive anyway, okay lets get to this pokemons weaknesses and luckily we dont have to many of them all we have are fighting ground and water...i think that all of these are common but still there are only 3 of them so dont worry to much about it also this pokemon is resistant to 9 types...this is awesome these types are normal flying rock bug ghost psychic ice dragon and dark types..i...i cant say anything else awesome stats lets move on

TMS AND HMS

All right...all out attack screw it you got me just show them the set

Earthquake
Double edge
Stone edge
Fire punch

All right...this is all out attack but come on for in game only stuff this is okay...sue me im lazy i dont know if i can say anything else anyway as always if you guys have a better set just tell me

GYMS AND RIVALS

Alright this thing is great against gyms i dont even know why anyone would have that much of a doubt about this pokemon after everything i have said anyway, this guy just might have some problem though but thats only because of that speed..its just a minor problem though its like nitpicking a movie, okay this guy is also very good against your rival and most of the time he/she wont have many pokemon that can take aggron down if any at all the only thing you have to worry about when facing him/her is type advantage and still what are the chances of your rival having a type advantage on a pokemon with only 3 weaknesses but as always stay on guard because something can always go wrong...anyway i think that about wraps it up-...really i have said this a million times the trainers are nothing to worry about just cannon fodder a nuisance not a threat done now for the final question should you take this thing to the elite 4...yep i say take it sure it has some problems but the attack and defense of this guy should help you out alot still its your choice do what you want now lets get this done i want to eat some Captain crunch

Final thoughts:okay let me tell you guys this...this pokemon is a defensive version of tyranitar i mean it i have seen so many similar things when i compare the 2 together its like if you took tyranitars takes and turned them around, but anyway this pokemon is great it has a..odd moveset great stats that compliment the moveset okay tms and it is highly effective against gyms and rivals but there are some downsides but honestly there just nitpicks still i have to take them into account one little problem about this guy is its speed i know its a trade off but i will admit it did get annoying some times also while its weaknesses are rare they can be fatal because all of them do 4x damage not 2x but 4x anyway i dont think i can say anything else except this pokemon is not as offensive as you may think and if you expecting something that can kill everything in one hit go with something else because this pokemon is very passive and defensive he is meant to take damage and deal damage anyway if you want something offensive go with tyranitar if you want something a bit more passive go with aggron

Final rating 4.2/5

Fun fact: This is the highest rating i have currently given to a pokemon

(MAJOR THING TO SAY KEEP READING there will most likely not be a awesome month review tomorrow because i am noticing some symptoms of a cold but still its not an impossibility anyway thanks for supporting these reviews guy but...i got a life...and books to read...i am boring...)

This Pokemon is just so extremely useful in game but as you mentioned, its weakness is moves until its final evolution and the long wait. It helps that you can get it kind of early in game enough where it makes it easier to train it especially in trainer battles. Or you can easily just give it Exp.Share until it evolves into Lairon. Being a steel type Pokemon it makes it very useful in battle which in return makes grinding/leveling it by training in the wild a little less frustrating. I loved the review and definitely keep it up!

This Pokémon can be useful, but isn't a necessity for really any game to be honest. Of course, be used predominantly more in R/S, it is much less useful. But that does not mean it is not a good Pokémon, not at all!

A good move set:

Earthquake
Stone Edge
Focus Punch
Rock Slide/Iron Tail

A 4x weakness to Ground and Fighting types isn't a great feature if you want to use Aggron. But again, Aggron is quite a solid Pokémon.

The best Pokémon in R/S to have Heavy Slam in its move set is Groudon.
