First off, let’s get the important part out of the way. This version of Yu-Gi-Oh handles like a giant game of Rock-Paper-Scissors. Henceforth, this shall be the most useful two lines you will find anywhere:
Mercury > Sun > Moon > Venus > Mercury
Mars > Jupiter > Saturn > Uranus > Pluto > Neptune > Mars
Now that that is settled… J
How to unlock hidden opponents to kill….like with a rock or something…
Simon – When the game first starts, run away and come back. That’s all. No special strategy. In free duel he comes before Tea…that should say something. Learn your deck before going to face the villagers.
!! Villager 3 – the FIRST time you go to the duel arena at the beginning of the game, duel through all three villagers. Otherwise he’ll just say that he is too old to duel. With fusions it should be a cinch. The best villagers will fuse is Ushi Oni (2150), just don’t let them ^.^
Mage Soldier – when you go to the past (after the tournament), explore everywhere you can before going back to the main town. You will come across Simon’s room and the push-over—sorry, “Soldier”—will be waiting for you. If you beat the tournament and got to him, he’s…well….a pushover.
!!!!! Seto 2 – (note that tournament guy is ‘Kaiba’ not ‘Seto’) defeat two high mages (I suggest meadow and waste), return to the card shop and be prepared. You fight end-game level people and Seto is no exception. It’s tough enough to get past the Labyrinth Mage, but Seto….(granted, it is a 2-duel sequence: the path is right, right, left, right) When I beat him, it was complete LUCK. My average deck level was maybe 1900, with raigeki, 2 kunai chains, and a bright castle (82878489, cost 800) I bought with star chips. Oh, and the Labyrinth Wall I had just won. His average level is probably closer to 3200. But if you do not face him now (story-wise) you will not be able to.
!!!!!! TIP: until his side of the field is full and he (hopefully) has 1 or 2 Gate Guardians on the field (along with Blue Eyes, Black Luster, Zoa/MetalZoa…yeah…) wait until his field is packed, use raigeki, then start your offensive. Defense is the name of this battle for sure, that and constant saving. I got to facing him and almost gave up and started a new file because I couldn’t backtrack to before entering; like I said, I got LUCKY Are you tired of Basic Insects and Rainbow Flowers?? Of course you are!!Here’s how to go from hoping for a Dragon Zombie to knowing you’ll win Axe Raider or better! Tips for decent cards.
SAVE STATES ARE YOUR FRIEND (not knowably available on Vizzed)–
typically, the best strategy is one that involves saving your magic cards until the last turn, use a save-state (a temp save file; it will save your progress at that moment in game play as a self-service checkpoint.)Using this one trick, I went from getting monsters with an average of 500 attack to 10 duels in a row of black meteor dragon, curse of dragon, gaia the fierce knight, dark magician, another meteor black and another curse of dragon (among others)The trick is to experiment in a VERY meticulous and detailed way, usually by making a list of all possible fusions and magic/equips and number of attacks used, and what card that particular play gives; then go with the best
KEY the card you get is not random. Everything depends on the strategy you use Things that affect the card earned:
Number of fusions attempted
Number of attacks
Whether or not guardian star advantage is used (see top) (unsure about disadvantage)
Number of equips used
Destruction cards/traps used (raigeki, etc)
Number of monsters destroyed (opponent’s, yours separate)
(Note: the key is NUMBER, not type) It’s tedious but well worth it; one card at the end can be the difference between Petit Dragon level and Dark Magician (literally)
And finally, the beginning and most of the story will be very tough without some knowledge of card fusions, so here are some of the initial ones you will see:

Plant+Dragon=B. Jungle King (2100)
Rock+Female=Mystical Sand (2100)
Plant+Animal=Flower Wolf (1800)
Female+Dark Spellcaster=Dark Elf (2000)
Jar+Dark Spellcaster=Ushi Oni (2150)
Dragon+Thunder=Thunder Dragon (1600) +Thunder=Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon (2800!)

Monsters fuse by TYPE and ATTACK POWER. Do not worry with semantics over which monster in particular fuses with which, you will only torture yourself (trust me.) A monster will never fuse to be weaker, instead the weaker one will replace a fused power-house, so be careful but not too careful. Some types are listed, some cards have secondary types that have to be figured out by the picture or description. Also note that these are not all of the type-fusions and that certain magic/trap cards can also be fused. Enjoy J

I like this. There is a good amount of information, but it is short and to the point. Good job.
