I got the PS4 since I am a playstation fan girl and I will be for the rest of my days! XD

My first 8th gen console was the Wii U and I'd say I got mine past the point of there being any hope in the console being a success I got the Super Smash Bros and Splatoon bundle and while it was already a dying console I really enjoyed the Wii U for what it was the gamepad was a pretty cool idea but I did think it was a bit too big but it was still a pretty cool console that will forever be overshadowed by both the Wii that came before it and the Switch that came after it.

Several years later I got the Xbox One (I assume the Switch doesn't count? I'm honestly not sure on if it's considered 9th gen or not) Which I mainly got to play Kingdom Hearts 3 a few months after it came out and to be honest it's probably my least used console I've ever owned I don't dislike it or anything I just don't have that many Xbox games I'm interested in plus I think it's a bit of a pain to use at points with not having the best storage and it downloading every disc game as well. Even with it being one of my least used consoles I've still played some of my favorite games of all time on it such as Nier Automata.

Since the poll also asks which one I prefer I'll answer the PS4 despite never owning one I've gotten nearly the same amount of enjoyment from my uncles which with him not being around right now it's basically been my go to console as of late, so I've been playing games I wanted to play before like Spiderman and Elden Ring. I also can't forget to mention it was the console that my favorite game of all time was on until later this year when it comes to everything else that being Persona 5 Royal.

My 8th generation console was the Xbox one. I mean I was always a PlayStation person from having a PlayStation and PlayStation 2 consoles but during high school everyone seemed to be getting an Xbox 360 and me, well I jumped with the crowd and switched to Xbox and since then been grabbing the newest consoles from Microsoft, and during the 2015 year was when I finally got my hands on the Xbox one console.
