Now, I know there are at least 500+ games out there that connect with us on some level, but there are only about 200+ that touch our hearts and make us think... only 200 hundred games that make us go... "How could this happen to someone that nice?" or "Why did you have to die, that's not fair!"

One of the most emotionally connected game series is known as "Final Fantasy", a game where going against all odds is what you have to do... in order to save yourself, save your friends, save people you love... and save humanity.

The next most emotional series of games is known as "Kingdom Hearts", where each world is a heart waiting to open... waiting to be shared and experienced... and you must brave against all the forces of evil in order to return life back to the good.

So, tell me... what game(s) has/have made you cry? What game(s) has/have made you regret and think about life? What game(s) bring make you feel sorry for others?

To be honest with you, I can't choose between the Final Fantasy series and the Kingdom Hearts series... both have emotionally touched me so many times, that I just feel like I did something wrong... that I feel like I have disgraced myself, and betrayed my own heart.

Whenever I play Kingdom Hearts, I just keep thinking... "Why him? Why this kid? Why a kid at all?" and when I'm playing Final Fantasy, I keep thinking "Why did she have to die?"

These games are worth every second of your time, and are worth listening to... worth understanding, and worth respecting.

the walking dead animate game would be the last one.
there were some really touching moments, and the ending was sad.

bioshock would be one of my favourites because it was so immersive, and actually addressed real moral dilemmas.

They're a few games that are a little emotional to my, but not a whole lot, but I'm not really sure on what my last game that really connected to me.

There have been many connections for me.

For sadness, I'd have to say Asura's Wrath. It's story-- and ending, if you bought the Nirvana DLC-- was pretty heart-wrenching. From what I remember, it's the only game to have successfully make me cry. I won't reveal anything, though, in case anyone gives it a try.

Though, on an actual level of bonding, I'd say that my copy of Pokemon FireRed meant the most to me for quite a long time. I went outta my way to catch everything, beat the E4 twice, go through the Sevii Islands or whatever, and trade everything I couldn't get. I 100% lost it though, along with my Venasaur GBA. Sadly, reliving memories comes at a cost. If I were to try and buy everything back, it'd come to a total of $300+ last I checked.

Can't think of anything else other than those two. Personally, I loved my FireRed copy more than Asura's Wrath.

I'll have to agree with Aust here, one of the few spin-off series of the Pokemon franchise rarely move me, but the Pokemon
Mystery Dungeon games came took my heart by storm. You travel with a companion through thick and thin, on perilous
adventures and fights until you reach the end of your sad tale and you have to depart from a friend you had bonded with
It is a sad story for each and every game that I have played ( Red and Blue rescue team, explorers of Time and Darkness,
explorers of Sky. ) Each game with a slightly different but still tragic ending. Games such as these are rare to come by as
they involve the character to become one with the player. For them to feel emotionally attached. Another game that had
emotional connections for me was Heavy Rain, it was such powerful imagery that made me love the game. The twists the
turns and it was all up to you the player to decide your ultimate fate. I feel as if games with more choices tend to become
much more emotionally connected to you as you decide what happens.

SacraRain : The unfortunate thing about Kingdom Hearts his how the innocent are effected so much, torn apart. I think
the best example would come from Dream Drop Distance as in the first world aka traverse town the characters of The
World Ends with You are split up from their friends and partners. This just adds to some of the more dark themes that are
already within the Kingdom Hearts story.

thenumberone : I would definitely agree with you on those, they are both very immersing games I mean,
1# Bioshock did address dilemmas, not to mention the game managed to show you another side of people with the phrase
"Would you Kindly." and
2# The Walking Dead is by far one of my favorite zombie game since I find it much more touching as you start to get to know
the characters and they are taken away from you.

One game that really got to me was Pokemon Black/White. The story addressed an ongoing moral issue, and I think N is one of the saddest characters ever, despite him being blissfully unaware.

Castlevania Lords of Shadow was also very meaningful. To see Gabriel Belmont get continuously mentally and emotionally torn is rather saddening to watch, to watch him destroy everything important to him.

For me, its basically any game that in the end the main character or someone in the party or even a very story related pc dies, leaves this world or something. but as with many people the saddest moment in gaming history is aeris death in final fantasy vii, especially because its not so common to see party members leaving the party or dying mid game. normally thats on the ending sequences.
