My first Legend of Zelda game was also A Link to the Past. My grandma had gotten it at a yard sale, and I had never known about the series before hand, except for link being in Smash Bros. So naturally, I was curious to play it. As soon as I put it in to my SNES, I was immediately amazed with it. The vastness of the world, the nice graphics, gameplay, and really overall everything. The music was definitely one of my favorite parts. It's still my favorite Legend of Zelda game to this day.

Kwojiba : Yeah, typically if you ask someone what their first game was they will say ocarina of time or the first legend of Zelda.

The first I played was Spirit Tracks, which was really  good, but there were many frustrating parts to it and there was no way to pick a boss you wanted to fight (plus all the bosses except for the third one at the top of the water temple were super easy). The final battle was epic (especially since it was on the DS). The game that really got me hooked was definitely Twilight Princess. It was just so good it wasn't even fathomable. I loved it so much. Best. Game. Ever.

Ocarina of Time is what got me into the series. I distinctly remember asking my older cousin what old games I should get on the Wii Virtual Console. He recommended Ocarina of Time, and the rest is history.

A star wars was my favorite game for a little while then it came... Legends of Zelda:Ocarina of Time. It came from my older bro and I was amazes by the graphics (unlike most of the Zelda games in the time I was in)from the game. Ocarina of Time and Magora's or something's Mask, people even said that these game have the best graphies (of course before the last two games today). So Ocarina of Time is my first zelda game.

ender44 : The way I got into Zelda is a little strange, My parents got Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask together at a garage sale when I was
eight years old or something like that. We took the game home and my Dad tried it, My Mom thought that the game was"cute" with all of the Kokiri and fairies, One thing that remember is trying to figure out where the jump button was.

Also the opening cutsene with Gannondorf was quite scary, It holds much nostalgia for me to this day although I have seen it many times.

But alas, When we got a sword in the game and my Mom saw that, she didn't like the game so much anymore.

     We were restricted from it.

Only after many years when I was about thirteen years of age did I play Zelda 1 on some website other than Viz.

Then I decided to try Ocarina of Time again, I loved it.
It was as if ti was complete chance that We decided to play OOT before MM, had we not, I may not have become a Zelda fan.

Not that MM is a bad Zelda game, but it would have been so strange that I might have not liked it enough.

MM is either my second or third favorite Zelda game, OOT being my first.

Dark knight of the blackened sun. I am Sword Legion, one of many. My mask is thick, and my armor is strong. All the more necessary in a world such as this. . .

My first Zelda game is kind of hard to determine. When I was a baby, I understood that the controller moved the figure on the screen, so my dad put on Ocarina of Time and put Link on Epona and let me ride around shooting big Poes. Since I was so young, I don't count that as my first game (I don't even remember playing it), My real first game was Wind Waker. I remember watching my older sister play Wind Waker and she would sometimes let me fly around as a seagull. Eventually she got tire of me wasting her pears and told me I couldn't anymore, I got angry and started my own game. I mostly played around on Outset Island but then I started getting into the story, and before I knew it I was hooked. I've had that game since I was six years old, I'm sixteen now and I still play it. I never used a guide and spent most of that time trying to find every treasure map and piece of heart in the game. I've played it so much, I can complete the first part on Outset Island with my eyes closed (I got bored and wanted to test how far I could get).

Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past, and now i am forever hooked on that game. Just the feel of the 8-bit graphics is amazing if you ask me.
