I prefer pens because for me, they are neater and easier to write with. Sure, they can't be erased. But for me, neither can pencils because I'm Obsessive Compulsive about it and it would always leave the smear. So... well, pencils got treated the same as pens as far as erasibility went. So pens win. They don't have to be sharpened either.

I always write in pencil, I hate using pen cause if I screw up I can't erase it. xD

Pencil definitely.  With it you can doodle and create awesome art, and erase! Without White-out the pen is just asking to waste paper space.   Pencil is awesome for art while pen can just darken in the lines, the pencil is great for crafting the art project and to get the mistakes out of the design before being finally crafted, whereas if using the pen and you make a mistake you have to start all over again. That can get pretty annoying

yes i prefer pencil because i can erase and i would like pens if i can find me some pens with erasers on them but they are hard to find.

I prefer using a pen , because it looks more elegant and more cool .

I like pencil too because you can do some erasures , and i like using it when i am drawing !  

It is all about the pencils for me! I mess up too easily to use a pen for working things out. In my mind, pens are only to be used for official forms that require signatures or for record keeping. Pencils are for everything else!

In fact, I always wrote much neater in pencil than I did in pen when I was growing up. I always ended up having pens that ran a little, causing uneven strokes in the words, or I would have to press down so hard, they sometimes would rip the paper some. In middle school, I found pens with ink that flowed much smoother for the classes that required pen only, but those ended up marking the page up when I clumsily maneuvered the pen around. Some teachers just asked me to write in pencil first, then highlight in pen, but that was too much work, in my opinion; if they require pen, they can suffer with my distorted handwriting!

Honestly, I would think schools should be paperless by now, with only signatures and small writing tasks being required of pens and pencils. That would help with handwriting problems or requiring certain writing instruments, but I suppose then teachers and staff would have to contend with people's typing skills. I remember in college, one of my English professors had to tell the class to not use acronyms or short-spelling words in the class that just made me face-palm. Apparently, some were spelling "you" as "u" the entire time, or actually used "WTF" or "OMG" for reports.

To me it depends. For classes such as math and art, I'd probably lean towards a pencil because of the drawing and graphs being made. Otherwise, I'd probably use a pen.

I prefer pen mostly, even not in school I find it easier to write with a pen. Writing with a pencil causes a sound and feeling that drive me insane, plus if I'm writing with a pen I have something to nom on when I'm not writing anything down. Chewing on a pencil would be gross, however pencils are good when you need to fix mistakes, all you gotta do is erase it. 

I prefer Pencil because when you make a mistake you could erase it and most of the test I take you need a Pencil.

I prefer pencil... I make a lot of mistakes, something that will have to change while I am in the Army. But, then again, erasable pens are flippin epic, don't you agree?

My old Pubilc school didn't let us use Pens. We HAD To use pencils.

I prefer using pens because my handwritting is terrible and the only things that can improve it even a bit is are sharpie pens so I don't really have much of a choice

I mess up all the time, so I like using pencils. And it seems whenever I use a pen, it won't work, it takes forever for the ink to come out correctly.
