Back in March of 2010, Activision fired the founders of Infinity Ward. Since then they have banded most of those where were on Infinity Ward to create a new company called Respawn Entertainment. Last year Respawn Entertainment had the chance to show their first project at E3 but decided to skip the chance.
Bad news for those of you who have been waiting for any idea what this maiden project is, because Respawn Entertainment has once again decided to skip this years E3 event. There are some speculations and rumors going around that Respawn is waiting for the lawsuit between Activision and the founders of Respawn to get settled. Since one of the things that is being fighting over is the rights to the Modern Warfare name.
However, other rumors have it that they don’t want to show anything at E3 until the game is near completion which is believe to be set for sometime in the spring of 2013. Some believe this is a bad move not to show anything at the well-known summer time event. However, some believe that this tactic is actually very smart on their part since Respawn Entertainment will be compared to Activision. Since it was the founders of both Infinity Ward and now Respawn that had brought Activision fame with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
Another rumor is that the former founders of Infinity Ward made this new company just so they can get their money back from Activision and run to never be heard from again. While some of the fan base have been pessimistic about this lawsuit and new company. Some gamers hope that Respawn shows Activision how to really make a game, and that they will wipe the dust off their shoes and never look back.
