I heard on the news last week that a rich Australian person decided to build the Titanic 2. It will be unsinkable. The ship is gonna be maid in China. The building starts next year and the maiden voyage for the ship is in 2016. That's also when the ship is done being built.

starwars293 : Sorry about that. I was just curious to learn that. Anyways, back on topic. I had never heard of a second Titanic. My friend had recently created a giggly story about the tragedy of the Titanic. It was weird and different. It wasn't a serious story. Anyways, what interesting facts you have posted on Vizzed! I hope you learn more about this.

Isn't that what they said about first one I'll be damned if they hit the same iceberg as the first titanic. Making the ship in China probably isn't a very good idea either considering China has a reputation for cheap labor and cheaply made products.

If I made the titanic every room would be a submarine then if it were to ever come in contact with an iceberg every room would seal up and the ship would shatter into hundreds of mini subs. Those who are on the dock wont get a sub though they will be stuck using the remainder of the ship as a life boat.

Might as well, it appears there already is a Titanic 2 movie to go with it

I think the rich Australian is Clive Palmer, I actually believe he is eccentric enough to build titanic 2, however he also wants to become a federal politician, oddly enough he wants to be in the conservatives (Liberal Party), the way the current government (Labor Party) is going, they will sink quicker than the original titanic let alone T2.

Huh, Interesting... Just let's hope that this one don't end like his big bro... 

I really don't think that any ship is actually unsinkable, so this is absolutely a horrible idea.  They already made one and it failed, so why would you do it again and risk peoples lives again.

If this really happens, it will be good, and bad.
Bad: More people would die.
Good: Would inspire to make a second movie of Titanic, and one more music that could make someone cry would be used.

Since many years have passed and building a new one calling it " Titanic 2 "
may or may not be a good idea. Same for the New " World Trade Center "
being built in Manhattan , New York . Both were destroyed and many people
were killed . It would be nice to see them both recreated again at their own
times.I wonder how long Titanic 2 would last before it sinks again . I highly
doubt nothing would happen to it and that's really sad to say .

Haha, wow... To go along with what Jigsaw said, it would be so funny if they hit they same iceberg and sank. Plus no ship is "unsinkable", that's like saying a car or a plane is uncrashable... Anything can wreck, just look at the first one.

Also, why the hell name it the "Titanic 2" anyways... I think that would be just asking for it to be sunk by an iceberg.

It seems history is doomed to repeat itself even if we do remember it.

commercialy, i cant imagine it would be succesfull, who wants to go on a ship built after one that sunk on its 1st voyage? All the civilians will be depressed people from countrys where suicide is ilegal.
And its to be made in china.
It will be made with people instead of rivets since apparently life is cheaper than raw materials in china

Just because it would bear the same name as the previous ship does not mean that it is destined to sink. Most ships do not sink, and the RMS Titanic tragedy was one that just could not happen again today because of the regulation changes that were made in it's wake. Shipping lanes are much further south, there are ice patrols, vastly increased life boat requirements, and ship design specifications (must have a double hull, not just a double bottom).

Also, the press dubbed the original "unsinkable" not White Star Line (the builders of the ship). In that same vein, Palmer said the ship was being built "not to sink" but could sink "if you put a hole in it"... just like any other ship. So no, it's not being dubbed "unsinkable"

... sorry for the rant, I'm somewhat of a Titanic historian... my first undergrad research paper was on Titanic and the cultural attitudes towards technology that led to the sinking.
