Don't believe in anything without concrete evidence. What qualifies as concrete evidence obviously will be different for different people. My opinion is that if there is a God that the bible speaks of than he would provide evidence. I mean your fate for all eternity is dependent on how you live your short (compared to eternity) life. Surely an omnipotent God would provide you with evidence that is concrete enough for you to believe, after all he has the power to do so. If God has any decency he would provide evidence for everyone.

On a side note , you could not imagine how hard it is for me to write crap like this while still keeping a straight face. Anyways Leggy, I wouldn't sweat it, chances are Christianity is just as fraudulent as every other religion.

Part of faith is believing what can not be seen. Frankly its written that if you don't believe what is already there, than you won't believe anything else. I think there is evidence through miracles and fulfilled prophecy.

I believe in him because of my faith and life experiences. You have to stay strong in faith.

legacyme3 : Faith is the ability to believe in something because we know it's there.  Physical prove is not needed in order for you to have faith and believe in something.  You believe the wind and the air put yet you cannot see nor contain it for studies.  Some believe in evolution but yet there is no physical evidence that creatures evolve.  To believe is simply a matter of will.  If you know it exist then it exist.  Faith in God is no different than faith in air.  Just one thing is God has all power, and believe me when the time comes and God says "I need legacyme3"  he'll call you.  He'll take you down to your limits and bring you back up anew just to show that he lives.

If you study animals for a very long time, they shall show signs of evolution. There is actual proof that modern day birds have evolved from dinosaurs.

Faith in God is very different from faith in Air. You can actually prove that Air is there (See: Every science book you were given at school and my first statement), while you can't with God.

MegaRevolution1 :   It is not the wind you see but the particles it collects.  As for the matter of evolution, how can we say that something has evolve from a common descendant when we have never seen it happen.  Have you seen a dinosaur?  Have you seen a you seen a giant creature reduce it's size take forth wings and fly?  Have you seen any evolution of a being from the moment of reckoning?  It's all a matter of will.  We believe what we choice to believe.  When man places forth there ideals over the truth of God we believe, but when God says to us in his word that he created all things we allow it to be deterred by the theological beliefs of some man and place above what God has spoken.  God grant us the will to believe what we want, but He also created boundaries that we dare not cross.  I pity the man that blasphemes God and hardens unto His word, for His word is true.

mr.pace : There is literal scientific evidence, such as genes and more info that surrounds the evolution theory. As for the wind, how does it not prove to be real if it is collecting particles? That's like saying water in a tank isn't real because it's only moving my fish and I can't see it.

I'm going to be on Leggy's side here, I need some diehard evidence if I should believe, but even after I don't think I would truly believe, or just defy, really. One should never have infinite power to look down upon us with, especially considering all natural disasters and other chaotic events that happen.

MegaRevolution1 : No.  I'm saying that natural disasters, war, famine, and pestilence have already been told to happen by God as signs of the oncoming judgement.  God is however, angry that we choose to believe other beings over Him.  Believing or not believing it's always reverts back to willpower.  Also my question to you was have you ever seen with your own eyes a creature evolve?  Water itself can be seen light reflects off it.  Though I love science, it has to many flaws to base your 100% belief in.  A person could say they saw this, but because science says it doesn't exist you call them a liar it's rubbish.

I think Legacy is looking for scientific evidence of a god's existence. Something that lets him know without a reasonable doubt that it exists. If there is no scientific evidence for God, then either the technology isn't available yet, or it simply doesn't exist. He's probably not looking for sentiments.

And while you believe that Jesus walked among man for 32 years, there's no evidence at all that he was the son of god. If the best he can give us is stories of his son being on Earth 2,000 years ago, then he doesn't really care about being reasonable.

The truth is you shouldn't believe in anything without evidence, because to do so if foolish. If you have a reason to believe, than that's ok for you, I respect that. But for me, I need proof. Just like I don't believe in Santa Claus, or the Easter Bunny.

Science has gathered a ton of evidence, so that seems more viable to me than a bunch of stories written by an average Joe.

mr.pace : Like Wikipedia and encyclopedias in general, they have many sources to back their information. Please provide Legacy with an alternate source other than the Bible to back your claims.

mr.pace : Could you try pulling up some of these flaws, with actual proof as to why they are flaws? You couldn't really expect to say that without anyone questioning you on this.

Plus, the bible itself too has flaws. One in Genesis being that it says how the moon creates its own light, when in reality it just reflects light from the sun.

And that supposedly happened 2000+ years ago, in which they didn't have modern day science, technology, or explanations, in which they immediately presume a phenomenon that could easily be scientifically explained as a miracle from god, so if anything back then happened today, we would be able to have some real explanations and count things as truth and/or fiction.

when you state god is all powerfull and all knowing you screw yourself over. by that logic god knows the outcome before the even, hence he would know in say, 28AD, that in 2024 we would perfect cloning and hence have the means of leaving evidence of his existance in a similar maner.
either god isnt real or he dosent really want us to know he exists. an all powerfull being should be able to prove to his creations, his existance.
