I do not know if this is the correct place to put this but I'd like to know how close are we to getting that multiplayer online update and getting PlayStation one?

Unfortunately, we are not close. Back when David made the announcement that he will get these added when enough donations were received (which was the beginning of January), the site only got about $350 from that day to now. This recent plugin used up all of that money and David had to invest about $3,000 of his own money just to get the systems that were added. Those systems were the cheapest ones to have added. The other disc based systems that were on that list to be added are much more expensive. But Netplay (multiplayer) is the most expensive thing on the list of things to be added. Given how few donations the site gets, I don't see it happening for a while.

rcarter2 : Well that blows maybe we need to think of ways to get more money to come in. Though the only thing that comes at the top of my head at this current time is sponsorship by someone or company..   . Well that and just trying to see if we can get a couple hundred if not thousand people to sign up on this site

It does suck. When David made the announcement back in January, we were all actually expecting a lot of donations. After all, Netplay and those systems are the most demanded things for the Retro Game Room. So when it was time to try to get it, nobody was willing to donate. I get that a lot of people here are young and likely don't have debit cards/credit cards of their own. But there are a lot of older people who do. Heck, the Facebook page constantly gets waves of people saying they will donate when they get a job, next paycheck, etc., but then they never do. I know that of that $350 donated for the features, $100 was made by one person, so that means that less people donated than what you would think when you see $350. I actually looked at the number of people who are older on this site, and if every person who is 18+ years old on this site donated $10, then that alone would pay for a LOT. But a lot of people assume that their $10 won't make a difference because others will donate. But when 90% of the people have that mentality....you get the point. 

rcarter2 : I would donate but I got three major problems. 1. I don't trust the Internet with sensitive information at all thus I will never give out my card number on here. 2. I do not at this time have a job so the only money I have is enough to scrap by on. 3. I trusted my father with looking after my bank account because I know he is good with money so if he see's me using a lot of money (anything over 50 bucks) he tends to nag me till I tell him what I bought.

I hope you didn't take my last post as a thing directed toward you. It wasn't and I did not intend to offend. It was just a little calculation that was found. But we know that there are people really can't. It was more of a comment on the ones who post on here or Facebook that they will next week or something and never do. If the site got even half the donations multiple people claim they will 'really soon', we probably wouldn't even have to wait for plugin updates

rcarter2 : Aye its the same with some of the anime sites I use they need donations to keep running but people just dont want to give and yet they got the nerve to demand new anime or other things while the staff are trying to keep the site up...

You know as exciting as it sounds, I would like to help donate to vizzed but as far as that goes I can't even make the smallest donation right now....Although the thought of having netplay is really a good thing for Vizzed.

Markeith21 : A random idea i just got which probably is bad but how about a type of contest(maybe a donation contest) with the first 3 winners get to duke it out one a game system with one of the staff members or something? the others get other prizes like Viz or maybe gets to pick the newest game to come on here or show?
