If anyone has questions about Outer Space, post them here so people can answer them. I'm sure everyone knows something here and there, this way we all get smarter!

Benny asked a question:

Why isn't Pluto a planet anymore?

The answer I found for that question is:

Because they found out it was Mickey's dog.....just kidding. Hah.

Pluto no longer fits the standards of what a planet is. To be a classic planet an object must be a celestial body orbiting the sun with natural objects visible in the sky.

It was tough for scientists to decide because a planet is an object that forms out of the swirling disk of gas and dust left after the formation of a star. So, I dunno.

Scientists call it a Dwarf Planet, there are 1000's of them out there I believe.

Personally, I don't know why it would have been a planet anyway considering that there are bigger things out where Pluto is and have a consistent orbit around the sun. It just stuck I guess when Greek dudes saw it. So...whatever. Ha.

Its in an orbit, but its orbit is off center to all other rotations and such.

This suggest it wasnt a part of our solar system when it was all formed, so its not a planet of our solar system.

Pluto's orbit looks like Niburu's orbit which is also known as Planet X it will be making its way here around 2012.

Planet X, wasn't that suppose to be the "10th Planet"? I heard about it back in middle school. I never really got into it.

Yes it is... but since it isn't in our solar system then no... but then again when it orbits in ours then we consider it ours lol.

Hey guys, dont want to make you feel dumb, but do you know what X is in roman numerals?
Also, planet X wont come crashing into us, from what I've heard, its in an elyptical orbit.

Yea probably won't crash into us but it is suppose to mess up our alignment for a few days when it gets close. When that happens all hell will break loose as in all kinds of natural disasters. But... who really knows we will have to wait and see. I've also heard about the aliens or gods that live there Space is so awesomeeeeeeeeee

We learnet all about planetary orbits and gravity and stuff. I could calculate how much gravity offset it'd have at a certain distance and tell you how far off course it'd make us (in theory i could..). But im too lazy for that.

I just did a quick look on wikipedia. This planet X stuff as around before pluto was discovered, this planet X reference ment X as an unknown number.

There is actualy no planets outside our solarsystem in orbit, and they can tell this by the lack of orbital differeces in the other planets. They all cause an orbital anonomaly on each other, so they can see if there is some sort of anomanly or not.. And there isnt..

Exactaly how big is this Planet X.

Also, I don't think that it will effect our planet. I think it will like another random this in space, because I'm sure you know that there is all kinds of stuff randomly movin' around the Solar System. It's not just the planets and the Astroid belt and Kuiper belt.

Its pretty big I think. It's been thousands of years since it came close to earth and when that did happen, stuff got messed up badly. That's just a guess though, who the heck knows lol.

JigSaw, wikipedia is lacking information on both Planet X or Nibiru.
Wikipedia does tell you that there is no other planets in our solar system.
Harrington died in 1993, having never found Planet X. That same year, Myles Standish used data from Voyager 2's 1989 flyby of Neptune, which had revised the planet's total mass downward by 0.5 percent (an amount comparable to the mass of Mars), to recalculate its gravitational effect on Uranus. When the newly determined mass was used in the Jet Propulsion Laboratory Developmental Ephemeris (JPL DE), the supposed discrepancies in its orbit vanished. Also, to date there are no discrepancies in the trajectories of any space probes (Pioneer 10, Pioneer 11, Voyager 1 and Voyager 2) that can be attributed to the gravitational pull of a large undiscovered object in the outer Solar System. Today the overwhelming consensus among astronomers is that Planet X, as Lowell defined it, does not exist.
No such planet can possibly exist.
Objects far far away can still cause ireglartys in orbits of planets in our solar system, and any theory of Planet X or any such planets has been disproved .

Wikipedia is not a reasonable source for data... But just cause they say there isn't more planets in our solar system doesn't mean they are correct.

"Recent calculations by the United States Naval Observatory have confirmed the orbital perturbation exhibited by Uranus and Neptune, which Dr. Thomas C. Van Flandern, an astronomer at the observatory, says could be explained by “a single undiscovered planet.” He and a colleague, Dr. Robert Harrington, calculate that the 10th planet should be two to five times more massive than Earth and have a highly elliptical orbit that takes it some 5 billion miles beyond that of Pluto – hardly next-door but still within the gravitational influence of the Sun."

Since planet X is 5 billion miles away, no wonder he said it never existed he needs a new telescope for that kind of findings lol.

Whether it exists or not... the truth is out there LOL. Let's talk bout something else now

What was your source for that?
Should read this article. Kinda big, but good to read.
"...but there is no evidence for a massive body approaching from the vicinity of the Kuiper Belt."

If such thing exists, it is a brown dwarf, and is expected to be 4,770-25,440 times larger than the earth. Its also not coming to kill us. (Which the start of that article had me worried about)

And at the end of the universe is just blank.. just a vaccumm.. Im not sure if there are other universe's out there.. refering to the universe as this,

Yeah, the most popular of pictures of Galaxies is call "The Deep Field", Every single little glimpse of light is an entire galaxy, it is a picture from the Hubble and it's projected to hold around 10,000 galaxies, and as I'm sure you know, there are 3 kinds of Galaxies.

Elliptical Galaxy:

They are the biggest of all galaxies, 75% of galaxies in space are said to be Elliptical. They are the biggest kind of galaxies, there are Elliptical galaxies that are called "Giant Elliptical Galaxies" and they are believed to contain a trillion stars or more and have a span of 2 trillion light years. That is 20 times wider than our own milky way galaxy. The Giant Elliptical Galaxies have Supermassive black holes in them that are as much as 3 billion heavier than our sun!

Spiral Galaxy:

These spiral galaxies have "arms", that make a spiral. The milky way is a spiral galaxy, but it more known for being a "barred spiral galaxy" because the density waves organize the stars to form a bar.

Irregular Galaxy:

The Irregular Galaxies are called that because not one of them has a specific shape, neither elliptical or spiral, they are just random in ways of where stars, gas, and dust are placed. They are the smallest of galaxies and have as few as a million stars. They are believed to be the building blocks many of the larger galaxies. They also say that many Irregular Galaxies actually orbit our Milky Way galaxy.

I'm sure I don't have all the information about them. But I think I have quite a bit.

Also I wanted to put pictures of galaxies that collide, they totally destroy each other.

And another cool note is that our Milky Way galaxy is projected to collide with the Andromeda galaxy in about 3 billion years!

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
