Hey Vizzeders,

  My name's Jason and this is the first time I've ever been a part of an online forum.  I've never been much of a gamer, but have recently found myself experiencing unparalleled yearnings for Pokémon games the likes of which I played a decade ago.  I found this site when putting in a Google search for online Pokémon Red games.  After perusing the site a bit, I feel more inclined to play Pokémon Crystal considering the added story lines and color game play not present in the originals.  Unfortunately, however, I haven't been able to get anything to work.  I use a Mac and so I know the RGR plug in won't work with my operating system, but several of the games don't require it.  I have the updated Java but am still unable to get any actual game play.  If someone could help, I'd be much obliged.  I apologize if there is another thread that addresses this already, I just haven't found one yet so I figured I'd throw that out on here.

  More about me real quick, since this is an intro:  I spent some time in the Army and am currently in the National Guard finishing up my final year of college. (bachelor's) I always loved Pokémon as a kid and spent way too much of my parents' money on playing cards when I was in elementary school.  Unfortunately, I have lost track of my old Gameboy (I never even upgraded to Color) and am now frantically looking for an online fix.  My primary hobbies include football and playing guitar.  Thanks for reading and for any help/advice you can offer!

Welcome to Vizzed, Jason. Before I say anything else I want to give a personal thank you for your choice to serve us in the National Guard and Army. I apologize that I can't answer your question, but I will see if I can get one of the staff members to help.

tRIUNE : He says that he can't get the Java emulators to work. He's using a Mac and he knows he can't use the RGR plugin. Do you have an answer for him or can you at least direct him to the proper thread? If I shouldn't be summoning you like this don't hesitate to tell me in a PM.

I'm not that knowledgeable about MAC OS, so the best I can think of is to ensure that your browser is current, ensure that you don't have any older and unsupported versions of Java installed, try a different browser, or open your browser in safe mode.

I can try and research some of the possible solutions to this if none of my suggestions work.
