for the most part people learn the truth from the lessons of life, beyond that its the failing of the system or the parents there.


theresa whole host of things kids in the us,and even in other countries, dont learn, and ignorance just breeds alienation.


i agree 100% obviously that statements like starwars are incorrect, i think the song make it stop(septembers child) is a perfect counter to starwars statement, both the video and lyrics addressing peoples ignorance and mentalitys that can lead to things like suicide.


The video makes me sad with such ignorance everytime i watch it.


The key factor though, ignorance. Understanding comes from recognition and knowledge, people need to be taught that from a young age, maybe then theyl be able to talk on level with people that feel so far gone, and help them get there life where they want it, instead of condoscending and insulting them (and i dont see any counter to it,calling them cowards is blatantly insulting,judging people you know NOTHING about.)

How can you consider suicide a waste of time? What do you need time for after you're dead? Besides, time is completely subjective. Committing suicide would likely have a marginal impact on the lifespan of the universe.

I disagree with calling kids cowardly who commit suicide. I also believe that in most cases, suicide is the wrong path to take.

When kids commit suicide, that usually means that they have sunk so far deep into the negatives of their lives that they cannot see a way out and believe that the only way to get peace is to kill themselves. I think that at this point in time the only path that they see is to kill themselves, and that it is no longer possible for them to keep strength in the face of grief. That is not cowardly. But I believe that there are certain choices that we can make to prevent getting to the point where we want to have suicide. This can be talking to councilors or others just to get your troubles off of your chest. Usually, if they are good friends or family members or councilor, they will help you try to fix your problem. If it's something I want to be secret, then councilor, etc. At least, if I felt myself spiraling down into depression, that's what I have access to, and that's what I'd probably do. Knowing that I believe that everyone has the capability to pull themselves out, by talking to others.

I kind do think suicide is the cowards way of avoiding life instead of having to deal with everything.But some count it as away to accept everything as a failure and doesn't look at the side effects of suicide.

Life is meaningless, I stand by that.

If your life sucks so bad that you are would rather disappear from reality than continue living, I agree you should commit suicide. If your life is not worth living, then why live it?

I am not saying that suicide is the right thing to do when your life gets hard, but it was the right thing for him because he chose it.

No, suffering without seeking help is what I would call cowardice. Sitting in your room, by yourself, crying about what ever happened; just feeling nothing but pain for the rest of your life, and never even trying to receive help of any sort.

I would consider suicide as a from of "help"; not that it's a good form of help, and is not the right way to end suffering, but it is one way to.

It's not just about cowardice. It's also about severe depression in most cases and severe self-esteem issues and/or desperation. There's no bravery in it but it's also not a purely cowardly act. It's a very sad thing and once done the person is lost forever and their problems will never be resolved.
