Anyone know of any really violent anime shows? Up there with gantz?

Really violent? The most violent anime I've watched is Murder Princess, but I doubt that would be enough for you. x3

You can always go with Naruto. That is pretty violent but really does not match up to that of the manga. I do not know of any other, besides FMA but we have all seen that.

Uhh... The original ghost in the shell and the sequel anime, stand alone complex is pretty gory as far as I can remember.

Another one would be Highschool of the dead, Hellsing and Higurashi.

There are lots of them: Blood+, Elfen lied, Berserk, Gunslinger Girl, Hellsing, Evangelion, Highschool of the dead, Deadman Wonderland, Perfect Blue.... etc

The only Violent anime shows I watched were Naruto and Bleach.

Golgo 13? Not sure how violent the manga and anime really are, but it is basically Japan's James Bond, so worth mentioning just for that. Elfen Lied is quite violent, and also known for the amount of nudity it contains. There's also an anime or anime movie called Ninja Scroll. That one is violent, and well... There's a woman in it who can make snakes come out of pretty much every part of her body. You can figure out why that's worth noting when you watch it.

I heard Berserk is fairly violent, as well.

I'd say the best one as far as violence goes is Ninja Scroll. I actually can't bring myself to watch that one just because the violence was sickening. I love violent entertainment, and Ninja Scroll is impossible for me to handle. Elfen Lied is only nerve wracking for me because I don't want my parents seeing a naked female anywhere when they walk into my room.

Black Butler (Kuros***suji) that is a great one not one of the most violent but still really good~~~  First ep has someone get stuffed into an oven~!  The next ep loads of people get slaughtered by kitchen utensils~!  As time goes on more and more gory things happen~

Hell Girl is a good choice too every episode as I've seen has a new way to kill some one~!  One episode a guy was ran over by an ambulance then stuffed into a cage and left to die!  Another was a haunted hospital scene~~  Such as blood running out of the faucet onto the floor summoning up zombies. 

One is a movie Galerians:Rion OVA just imagine peoples heads exploding, people getting burned to the ground, Rabbits .  Don't forget blood flowing from peoples faces~~  Also people getting electrocuted in experimental chairs.  Random dead bodies stuffed or hung in places~~

Try Bastard. I remember watching a review of that and I recall it being quite bada**.

Blue Gender is fairly violent with lost of death and blood.

Now if you're going for really violent, Berserk would probably be the best choice. Elfen Leid is very gory and violent as well. Other than those three, I don't know of any particularly violent anime.

Naruto, Bleach, DBZ and anime of the like do contain violence, but I wouldn't say they are anywhere near as violent as the other anime I mentioned.
