I am listening to fix you by coldplay, I consider it a melancholy and hopeful song, just by the lyrics and the way it sounds in general, I think it sounds great and it is one of my favorite coldplay songs. And they have a lot of good stuff, so that means that this song is pretty good...at least in my opinion, I don't know what you guys like XD

I may not listen to much music (mainly because a lot of it from today sucks) but they are one of the few exceptions and their stuff sounds great and I greatly enjoy almost any coldplay song.

I have been listening to Crystal Castles. 
They are a Canadian Techno Punk band though there genre has been a little altered in their 2nd and mainly 3rd album.

Their first album Crystal Castles used a lot of 8-bit layers and sounded great. Songs Alice Practice, 1993 (or what ever year it is) and Crimewave.
