From what I can understand, I really don't see how the royals and parliament are connected. It seems to be a police matter, just like the Los Angeles Riots were. At the very least it goes no higher than the mayor of London.

The violence needs to be condemned. All of the people being hurt by it are law-abiding citizens who did nothing wrong. The media needs to not give any of these rioters the spotlight, or if they do interview them, ask them questions that should be shameful like "how is burning down an old man's business supposed to help your cause?"

Mob mentality is a dangerous thing, and that is what has been fueling this. Take out the violent ones, keep them separate, and the sheep will fall in line. Show them the faces of the innocent people that they are hurting and hope that will help stem the flow of violence. It is easy to break a window and steal when you don't see the face of the person you are stealing from, but it is hard to watch them cry and tell how you've ruined their life.
