I would have to say that Nintendo had the best press conference by far. They had more exclusive game announcements and unveiled a new home console. Sony's conference was alright but they spent too much time talking about Uncharted 3 and playstation move games. I don't know any one who owns playstation move and I think it is a huge failure. Microsoft was mostly talking about Kinect and was disappointing, sure they had more exclusives announced than sony but they were all Disney games.
As for the PS Vita, I think it has potential to be a big seller. I personally won't buy it unless it gets a ton of 3rd party support, as I thought that was somewhat lacking on the PSP ( I do own a PSP). Also I allready own a PS3 and use my handheld systems at home for the most part, so there is less incentive to buy it for me. And for people saying it is as powerful as a ps3....its not even close. Journalists from E3 have said the graphics almost look as good as PS2 not PS3. It would be rediculously expensive if it had the multi-core processing power that a PS3 has, as it costs drasticly more money for technology to be made smaller. So as far as buying a Vita I am still undecided.
I was also undecided about the 3DS as it had nearly no games made for it or announced. With the announcement of all those exclusive 3DS games at E3 I am going to pick up a 3DS, but not until Zelda OoT is released later this month.
As far as the Wii U, I am definetly getting one of these on day 1. Sure I was dissapointed with the wii and never really liked most wiimote controls develpoers implamented, but the Wii U controller will change this. I mean it is basically a classic (or hardcore if you prefer) controller with a 6" touch screen in the middle. What this means is that developers will be able to port games to the wii u very easily with out the need to make wiimote controls for it. And since it has a the touch screen they will be able to add other features that will make it better than the PS3 or 360 versions. If you don't believe me check out Ubisoft / Nintendo's Round Table conference, ubisoft showed playable demos of Ghost Recon Online and the newly announced (exclusive)Killer Freaks game. Ghost Recon Online will definetly be better on the Wii with the touchscreen. One example is the ability to pilot a drone over the battlefield with only touch controls. This gives you the ability to still move around/shoot on the TV but you can scout areas with the drone at the same time. There were quite a few other nice features they put in but I will let you watch the video to discover them. Considering this is only the first gameplay shown and it is allready proving to be the superior version out of the 3 consoles, it is safe to say that the Wii U version of multiplatform games will be the best versions.
I think it was david who said he hated how nintendo was releasing a new console allready, but they really need to in order to stay competitive with sony and microsoft. They are allready losing out on ports because of hardware limitations, and the sales of Wii systems has signifcantly dropped off in the last year.
