Why can't newbies (like myself) have signatures? I'm just curious... I mean, what's the harm in letting us have a signature? Almost all of the other forum sites I've been to letted newbies have signatures!

Similar to what BTowns said, a lot of spammers are also newbies. Letting a spammer have an easy method of getting their stuff all over the site is easier if they don't have to do very much.

Basically, it's a standard form of security for us.
