Hello

Over the next three to four months, I have intentions to upgrade my guitar set-up. By that I mean I want to buy a new guitar and amplifier. I expect that my budget will equate to about 2000, after subtracting away a sum of money for a good recording microphone. If I could I would buy a vintage Marshall tube amp with an Ibanez JS1600 or JS2400, but that is well beyond a conceivable budget over the next four months.

I intend to buy a tube amplifier if at all possible, and I want a guitar that will give a Bluesy-rock tone. I considered Gretsch guitars along with something from Ibanez, because the tones that I heard sound desirable.

I will probably go shopping in a few months, so do anyone have any plausible suggestions for what I could consider? Even if I do not intend to buy it, I would like to know a little about certain brands or manufacturers prior.
