wow... I gotta say, everyones obbsesion with FF7 is pretty over-rated. im not saying its a bad game, cuz its not. I think if they used a bunch of the different final fantasy game's strong points, like the FF2 lvl up system, the FF10 graphics, and FF8 battle system, and made a sequel, or even a prequel to FF7, i think everyone would be happy. agreed??
Sometimes, good isn't good enough... Even the slightest difference between good and great, can determine the fate of the world...wow... I think 7 is really what started it... the rest were a bit dodgy.... there were many average/decent rpg's for snes and nes, 7 was really in it's own league. it gets the best for me. can't wait for advent children... but it still wasn't out in japan last september when i was there so i donno....

In my opinion, I think that ffVII is a bit over rated than FF VIII, I really liked the story in VIII than seven, but yet they both are really good, sometimes since I havn't played it for a loooong time, I get them mixed up. But come one people don't you just !LOVE! Final Fantasy XI! I mean the battle system, graphics, making your own story (if you record it)it rocks, interacting with people all around, it's like a life to get away from and just relax, flourish, and just have a good time, don't you agree, so for me, the newest one, !being Final Fantasy XI!

I don't know. I've tryed the online stuff, but it's too busy. You can't consentrate on the storyline, and the char are so in and out, you can't tell who's comming or going...

Thank goodness you like them all for who they are alone and not together because each of them took time to make and with out Square Enix, there would be nothing period, or an extend and I bet you guys wouldn't have thought that, Square Enix was going down the toilet untill, their last chance, final fantasy was a HIT! they put all of thier money and time into it so it was their last hope. Amazing because look at them now!

VIII ALL THE WAY!! I just love the whole sorceress plot and stuff, it's great! That and the graphics are so much better than 7. I dislike the whole block look on the hands and stuff. It's....wierd.

I can't agree with you on that, both games have their ups and downs, FFVII is a block but yet it's 3d, FFVIII is perfect looks yet it is as thin a paper when it moves and stuff weird yet cool, yet funny, I can guess that you people think yet is my favorite word, WELL IT ISN"T! it's lushes

They don't totally look like paper, it's just the angle you see them, otherwise yea...they look like like 3d, only with...sharp squigly lines...that's all...
