Lately when I summon some people, it doesn't do anything. I type a Username with a colon next to it like I'm supposed to. For some reason, after I post nothing changes. Their name stays normally colored and it does not become a link. This makes me wonder if they were summoned at all. This happened to me with Juliet yesterday. I'm just wondering why it isn't working or if it is.

Is there some maintenance going on or were the mods sick of all the summons? One or two mods have told me they don't mind, but if they were being summoned 10 or 20 times a day (or more) they might find a way to stop/change it.

I don't remember exactly what posts it happened for. I went through my reply notifications to see where exactly I had posted and I found one of them:

At this one, I typed "Juliet" with the colon next to it to summon Juliet. My plan was to delete the colon after posting so it looked like regular text. When I posted it (with the colon still there), the text didn't change color or anything like that nor did it become a link. This was during the initial post. This was not during an Edit. I later went back and deleted the colon anyway using Edit. She still replied to the post, so it seems like she was notified anyway.

Well when you use the summoning system you have to have the username and colon at the beginning of a line in order for it to work. Or at least that's how it was when the system was first implemented. I don't think there's been any changes where you can summon people in the middle of a sentence.

Yes Zamiel. Exactly the same problem...I'm aware of how to summon.Typing the username followed by the : ... which i did. It showed up like regular text..so I just edited it.

EDIT: Guess the problem is fixed, also I got a MAJOR case of Deju Vu, which is very weird... must have been something in a dream or something, as this is the only time I seen this thread, but all the posts, words, and environment match so well, it is like watching a video of something that has happened...with the video camera being at your eyes.
